The following day, I agreed to going to Ruby's house for lunch. The only reason I agreed to going to this thing was because Charlotte was going to be there and she was friends with the CEO's daughter, and Rose was the CEO's personal assistant. I didn't realise that people just up and go for lunch meetings, some of these women work! Shouldn't they be at their jobs?

Due to the hot weather I chose a white off the shoulder dress shirt that fell mid thigh, I put on a pair of shorts underneath just incase the wind decided to go crazy. I put on a pair of heeled wedges and let my hair fall down my back. Is this how suburban people dress? I grabbed my bag off my chair and made my way downstairs to the kitchen to find Alexander sitting at the island counter typing at his laptop.

He hadn't changed from his pjs he was just wearing his pj bottoms, no shirt or socks. It's a shame that someone with such a good body has such a bad personality. He heard me walk in and turned his attention to me. "What are you wearing?" He asked raising his eyebrow.

"Clothes?" I walked round the counter to get a glass out of one of the cabinets.

"Yeah no shït, are you going for lunch or coachella?" I looked down at my attire before looking back at him. It didn't bother me, in fact I just have him the finger before drinking my water. "What's the plan for this lunch anyway?" He watched me as I washed my glass and placed it on the side to dry.

"The plan is to get me into the inner circle before you start work tomorrow. If I can find out how to befriend the CEO's daughter we'll get access to the personal files in no time."

"And you plan to do this dressed as a 20 year old off to some festival concert?" He held his stomach as he began to laugh. His comment wasn't even remotely funny it was immature and unnecessary. Again I gave him the finger before walking out the kitchen.

How could captain think pairing me with this guy was going to be productive?

"Julia it's so good to have you here with us." Ruby spoke, taking a seat next to Rose. We were sat outside at a large oval garden table, Ruby thought eating outside would be best, allowing us to enjoy the summer sun. I was sat with Hilary on my left and Charlotte on my right. Ruby was directly opposite me with Rose on her left. So far I was a little confused and uncomfortable but I could handle it, this was out of my element but it's nothing I couldn't take. We were given cocktails as we entered, which I appreciated. If I had to be here the least they could do was give me alcohol.

"Thank you, I'm happy to be here. It means I get to know you guys better." I smiled at them all.

"Can be overwhelming moving into a town and not knowing a single person, right? It helps that everyone in town is super friendly." Hilary added. She sipped on her drink while the other agreed with her.

"How are you and Alex settling in?" Ruby asked, her eyes sparkled at the mention of his name. Typical.

I took a sip of my fruity alcoholic beverage before responding. "Were settling in Okay. House is done surprisingly it's bigger than I remembered." I had to make it seem like we viewed the house before we bought it, there nothing more suspicious than people who buy a house without viewing it.

"I know exactly what you mean, it took Jake and I almost a month to settle in. That was with the help of his parents too." Rose said laughing. I let out a fake laugh hoping to blend in. "Once you're ready you'll have to host the next party." She continued. Me? Host the next party? These women have to be joking. I don't want to attend your parties yet alone host my own and let you come into my house.
