The Iris message ended and the gods were taken aback. Poseidon, Athena, Aphrodite, and Zeus were furious with their children for what they did. Ares was just shocked. The other gods had looks of shock as well at the rumors.
The gods knew what happened down in Tartarus with the misery goddess and how Percy had almost killed her. They told the seven to keep it quiet so the campers wouldn't freak out so long as Percy doesn't do it to anyone else.
The gods began arguing about the demigods and how they should be punished for believing what the Athena spawn told everyone.
Percy was looking down and remembering everything that happened. The Iris message didn't show the worst parts. It didn't even show the parts where Percy's eyes flickered to a black color instead of their normal sea-green. Percy was kind of thankful for that or else the gods would have definitely killed him.
Finally, Zeus looked at Percy. "SILENCE!"
The room went quiet and everyone looked at the King. "Percy, what would you like to do with the campers?"
Percy snapped his head up to look at the God of the Sky. He didn't know what to do with the campers. He just wanted them to feel how he felt.
"Can you tell them the truth? What actually happened? I doubt they even know what they're talking about."
"Of course. Will you be coming with us?"
Percy thought about it. "No. I think I'm just going to do what I was doing before Lady Artemis picked me up." He went to turn around but stopped. "And can you tell Nico I'm sorry and that I may not go back to camp. I'll keep in touch with you guys and you can tell Nico how I am. I don't think I can look at him without feeling guilty for leaving."
"We will. Be safe, Perseus."
With that, Percy walked out the throne room and down the elevator of the Empire State Building. He turned down an alley and continued on his way to nowhere in particular.
———-
It's been about a month since Percy left that throne room on Olympus. A month and a week since he left Camp Half-Blood. About two and a half months since the end of the Giant War and when the rumors started. And Percy was bored.
He continued to poke the fire with the stick. In his left hand he had a small flame dancing across his palm. Percy has discovered some new powers while he's been away but he has no clue where they came from.
The gods visit around three times a week to make sure he isn't dead and because Nico would keep pestering them on how Percy was doing.
A void-type portal suddenly opened up right behind the fire Percy had set up. He jumped up and backed up from the void. He put his hand in his pocket and grabbed Riptide and got ready to take off the cap if he needed.
After a few seconds a man wearing all black with swirling dots walked out the void portal. He had dark black hair with dark purple, almost black, on the tips. His eyes may be the most mesmerizing eyes Percy has ever seen. They were black with different shades of blue and red dots swirling around and bright white surrounding the colors.
"Hello, Perseus."
Percy stepped back again. He felt the power radiating off of the mysterious man that he felt like an ant compared to him.
