hello! i'm back lmao, thank you for being patient.

this oneshot will be a little different as i'm going to use it to tell you a little more about myself.

my whole life i struggled to be "normal". i thought it was just me, that i was bad and it was my own fault.

but when i was thirteen, i was diagnosed with autism. for a while, i hated that part of myself, i was embarrassed about it so i refused to educate myself on it.

but as i became more comfortable with myself i looked it up and finally got my long awaited explanation for some of the little "mannerisms" i have.

so i have decided to use this oneshot to raise awareness about autism and some of the things that come along with it! jungkook will be largely based off me but he will also show other aspects of autism that i haven't experienced yet.

jungkook awoke to a loud noise coming from the kitchen. he winced and clamped his hands over his pierced ears, squeezing his eyes tight shut and whimpering slightly, catching the attention of hoseok, who was sat on his single bed, lazily scrolling through his twitter feed.

"oh kooks, is it too loud for you? are your ears a little sensitive today?" he asked softly, walking slowly over to the quivering boy. jungkook nodded and pressed his hands harder into his ears, making him grit his teeth in pain.

"i'll go and see what's going on alright? put namjoon's big headphones on." he said before leaving the room quickly.

he walked over to their kitchen to find jin using the blender and chatting to jimin and taehyung.

"hyung, the blender is upsetting kookie. his ears are really sensitive today." he said, over the noise coming from the machine.

jin gasped and turned off the blender instantly and walked into their dorm room. he gently removed the headphones from the youngest's ears and rubbed his back slowly. he apologised to the maknae and eventually managed to get him up off his bed.

"you should get ready, we need to leave in half an hour and i know you don't like to be rushed." he smiled, jungkook nodded and moved in to hug jin, silently standing while jin tried his best not to coo out loud. while jungkook was feeling sensitive it was like all his emotions were heightened, and it made him a lot more affectionate and clingy. the other members loved it and were happy to feed their youngest's desire to be hugged and held.

jungkook moved away from jin slowly and made his way to their small bathroom.

"ah jungkook there you are! i have something to tell you. do you want the good news or bad news first?" yoongi asked, jungkook looked up at him with confusion. "uh, good news?" he replied.

"good news is we are only working until six!" he said happily, showing jungkook his gummy smile. jungkook smiled back and went to walk away when yoongi called him back. "there's bad news too kook...remember?"

jungkook said a quiet "oh" before scratching his neck sheepishly.

"the bad news is that we're spending the day with that horrible manager." he said, hoping that jungkook wouldn't throw a fit. everyone hated horrible manager, especially jungkook - and seeing as the maknae was already having a "sensitive day" yoongi wanted to warn him before hand.
