Mixed Emotions

Chapter Five

RIA'S POV
He leaned in closer. Is he going to kiss me? I place a hand on his chest, and push him back.

"We shouldn't" I softly whisper.

"Sorry, uh.. See you tomorrow" he walks off.

That was awkward. I walk inside, only to he pushed against the wall.

"Your late women" Lani says.

"It isn't even 9" I argue.

"I know, but I saw what just happened" she smirks.

"Where you stalking us or something" I reply.

"Maybe" she mumbles. It's only 8:36, well that's what my clock says.

"Nan let me sleep over" she smiles.

"Ok, I'm gonna go shower" I tell her before grabbing my towel. After my shower, I curl up in to bed. I can barely fit due to the girl on the other side of my bed.

"Lani, your fat ass is taking up all the space" I shake her shoulder.

"Eshays cuz, you can fit" she shrugs before going back to sleep. It wasn't comfortable but it was as close as I got.

After Lunch, we had our netball game so I packed my netball shoes & my netballs dress.

This morning at school was very awkward. Matt kept trying to talk to me but I'd avoid him because of what happened last night. We are in Science now, and next was geography. Then I'd have no other choice but talk to him. Lani was half way into explaining to Suli what happened last night.

"He likes you girl" Suli nudges me.

"No he doesn't. I probably had something on my face & he tried to wipe it off" I reply.

"I think Suli's right cuz. Just think, Matt could be your first boyfriend"
Lani smirks.

"Even if, and I said if, somehow Matt & I were dating, what would I do? I've got no experience and I'm sure 14 year olds have probably already had their first kiss" I say.

"Ms. Tihore, get back to work" Mr. Andrews hisses. I give him a dirty look before getting on with work. I hear the soft chuckles come from Suli & Lani. I smile before getting back to work. Is there really going to be a Me & Matt?

Am I even ready for a relationship? Would I have the time for a boyfriend? All questions stuck into my head. The bell rang and we made of way to Geography.

"Man, back to work with the dimwit" Lani complains as I laugh.

We get in and sit. 10 minutes after class has already began, Matt & Hunter walk in.

"Mr Flavell & Mr Ioane, your late" Mrs Phillips snaps as i hear the chuckles home from the boys. They take both take a seat beside me with Lani beside Hunter.

"Where were you's" Lani asks.

"No where" Hunter looks at Matt before breaking into laughter. I give them a puzzles look as Lani does the same.

"Get back to work, egg" Hunter stops laughing. I poke my tongue out as he does the same. I turn to Matt

"Um, about last night-" I cut him off.

"Can we not talk about it? Please" I plead.

"Ok" he nods.

"When is this due again?" He adds.

"Next Teusday" I answer.

"Oh man. I left your jacket at home" I tell him.

"Don't worry. I'll come pick it up later" he smirks. I nod before getting back to work.
