After moving in and getting unpacked, I was finally able to plan our wedding. I sent out invitations, ordered everything, and found a photographer. We quickly got RSVPs back, mostly everyone said they would be there. I was happy, even my friends from SC were going to come. That was a good thing for me because I wanted them in my wedding party. Amandia was even going to come! That meant a lot because we hadn't talked in what seemed like forever (and as I stated before, I'm not the type to hold grudges or anything). She was coming with Amy, and they were going to fly in. I couldn't wait to see them!

The planning was going great! Then, about a month before the wedding - Amy started ignoring my calls. I didn't know what happened, I called her mom and she said everything was fine. So, I started sending her Facebook messages, and texting her. I still didn't ever get a response. I tried getting in touch with her all the way up until the day of the wedding, but never got a response. I was heartbroken, she was my best friend and she obviously changed her mind and wasn't coming to my wedding. I wasn't going to let it completely destroy my day though. As far as bridesmaids or maid of honors go, my sister was going to be the only one in the wedding besides my kids and of course, Fred's friend who did come down from SC. My dad was working and couldn't get off to walk me down the aisle, so that left me asking Tim if he'd do it. He told me he would. So, I told him what he would need to wear. After that, everything was set. We were ready to say I do!

It was cloudy with a little rain that day, except for when the sun wanted to shine through. Overall, it was a very nice day. The wedding party arrived and started getting ready at the church early that morning. Everything was going great. I was so happy and excited to become Mrs. West. I started walking down the aisle and noticed hardly anyone was there, I was disappointed to say the least. Fred had friends there, he even had his best friend from SC at our wedding. But, only six people were there for the both of us. It went from being a wedding with around 75 guests, to having only around 20 actually show up. I was disappointed by that, but I wasn't letting that ruin my day! I walked down and stood in front of Fred. I couldn't breathe, and he was crying. It was a moment I will never forget! He looked at me and whispered, "breathe." That's when I started breathing again. We said our vows, and was announced husband and wife at 12:22pm on 11-11-11.

We had reservations at a cabin in Tyler, TX for our honeymoon. The preacher that married us, let us use his SUV since our car was messed up. We arrived at this beautiful cabin in the mountains. It had a huge walk in shower, that about six people could have fit in. It had a private Jacuzzi on the back patio, as well as a grill. It was all around an amazing cabin, I hated we were only going to stay the weekend. I was in love with this place!

We drove around the following day trying to find things to do. We got old timey pictures done, went shopping, and out to eat for lunch. Then, we found a place where you could go horseback riding and we both decided it would be fun. The papers they give you plainly state that the horses are trained to 'stay on the path' and getting off the path may 'spook' them. There was a trail guide person in front of everyone riding. Fred decided to ask him if we could see deer on the trail. He told Fred it was hard to see them on the trail but he'd see what he could do. Well, he ended up getting 'off the trail' so Fred could see deer. Of course all the horses followed one another. Fred's horse got spooked and in turn spooked my horse. My horse then proceeded to run me into a tree and make me fly off of him. Now I don't remember any of that, but I do remember waking up and everyone standing over me. I ended up with a concussion on our honeymoon! Fred had to keep me awake for a while after that, even though all I wanted to do was sleep. I told him he owed me another honeymoon for causing me to get hurt on this one! The next day, it was time to go home and start our lives as a family.
