Faith and Cassia have been together since diapers. The grew up together and knew absolutely everything about each other. They both looked up to the same people and broke rules, and laws, together. Partners in Crime.
Faith watched Cassia get with many people and watched them break her heart. She watched her friend who was older then who by 2 years graduate and get through tough times. Faith always admired her, no, Faith always loved her. She had a thing for Cassia throughout high school but never told her.
Anyway, Cassia and Faith planned to spend New Years Eve together. They always spend holidays together. Cassia had arrived at Faiths house around 7pm. Faith was waiting outside for Cassia. She got inside the car and they drove off to a restaurant to eat.

They went to their favorite restaurant and got their favorite meals from the place. They talked and talked about the good old days. They made fun of each other and ended up sharing a dessert. They finished eating at 10.

They left the restaurant by 10:30 and arrived to their special spot by 11:30. They climbed some rocks on a beach sitting on top of this cliff of that overlooked water and more rocks. The perfect blue waves crashing against the shore.

Cassia and Faith sat on the edge and took in the view before turning to each other. They both talked for a little while longer. "Cassia? Can we both admit stuff that we should have said a long time ago so we can start the year fresh?" Faith asked. "Sure, it sounds like fun!" Cassia said now turning her attention to her. "You go first Cassia..." Faith said, she was surprised Cassia actually agreed. "Well you know so much about me it's hard for me to think of something that I've never told you. Besides this was your idea." Cassia said placing her hand on Faiths as encouragement.

Faith kisses Cassia on the lips. She gave up on trying to say it, there was no point. "I love you stupid." Faith said after she pulled away. Out of embarrassment and regret, Faith got up and started to walk away. "And I know you don't feel the same..." Faith felt like she was going to cry, she hates crying. "Faith wait! You never let me finish.." Cassia said. "I still have to confess soemthing! That's what we agreed on" Cassia said, grabbing her by the arm. "I love you to... and I'm sorry it took me so long to realize this. I should have been honest from the start. I should have never put you through all those other people. I'm sorry..." Cassia said holding onto Faith, pulling her into her arms.
Faith holds onto Cassia and nods. "I forgive you stupid.... just don't ever put me through anything like that again. I can't stand watching you get hurt." Faith said. Faith kisses Cassia again. "Happy new year Faith. I love you." Cassia said "Happy new year Cassia. I love you to" Faith said before they walked away.
