Age: 5

Time Left:  13 years, 1 month

Faith walked into the room with the others. A bright little smile on her face. She never understood why everyone always seemed to be panicked about the time they are given. Nobody explained why  it was so important. It just did not make sense. Everyone was talking about time or what not. Faith again just didn't understand and did not give a flying shit.

Cassia walked up to her, "How much time do you have?" Cassia asked casually expecting a big number from the younger girl.

"I have 13 years...." Faith said casually. If anything she thought it was 13 years till she got a prize or something. Cassia went to hug Faith thinking she was sad, this only confused Faith more.

"Faith, I'm so sorry.... I wish I had known sooner" Cassia said thinking she was comforting Faith.

"No it's fine, I have more then enough time," Faith said. She was concerned but honestly wasn't going to get answers till way later on.

Faith came back from school with an envelope in her hand, Faith tossed it in the trash. She sat down on the couch and watched as Keith came home later as well. It was around eight pm but this did not bother Faith much anymore. A small smile went onto Faith's face, Keith smiled back but it was obvious he was in pain.

"Welcome home dad. Sit..." Faith said patting the spot on the couch. "Let me check help," she said calmly.

"Fine," Keith said sitting next to her. He watched Faith lift up his sleeve to reveal the bleeding scar. She casually wrapped it up, this was normal to her. It was sad how she seemed to be used to this. Keith felt bad she was raised this way, he though he was doing bad as a parent. Especially considering how much time was actually left for her.

"Faith I'm so sorry that I've taken away the privilege of you having a normal childhood," Keith said trying to not cry.

"I don't want a normal life. I don't care about what people say about me or you. I just want a life with you, forever," Faith said hugging her dad.

"I can't promise forever especially since I know we are both running out of time," Keith said. He had accepted this .

"I don't need time to be with you. It's like Cassia said before, as long as your in my heart we will always be together," Faith said smiling.

"Faith, your going to die in 8 years, and I know it's my fault..." He said. It was obvious how he felt about this.

"It is not your fault, It is the fault of whoever invented time," Faith said now getting up and turning on the TV. She switched it to their favorite show and handed her dad a drink, she drank her juice and they stayed like that all night.

Faith walked home, she watched Kayla and her go the separate direction obviously they where going to hang out today. It made sense. She arrived at Shiro's house and saw him and Keith sitting in the kitchen. Keith was holding an envelope in his hand. Both Shiro and Keith looked upset.

"When were you going to tell us about the Garrison Faith?" Shiro asked showing the open envelope with the Garrison's symbol.

"I wasn't planning on telling anyone. I don't see a point in going anymore, it sounded fun when I was little-- I don't want it anymore! I don't want this!" Faith stated this, shortly slowly started losing her own words.
