Little Miss Perfect

Athena was sitting at her vanity letting the space mice mess with her straight hair as she read a book. She had found time to relax and take time for herself before the paladins would come over to bombard her with their issues and questions. It was early in the morning so of course the paladins would be asleep and she just knew how they would start complaining the second the alarm went off. She had gotten used to this... she also had gotten used to Cassia acting like a mother when Athena was about to lose her cool with that group of fucking idiots.

Just the idea of their chaos caused Athena to throw her book and get up. The mice had finished her hair and had just been sitting on her head by this point. They where surprised she lasted that long before wanting someone's head. "I'm sorry, but we have to go help the others now...." Athena said out loud to the mice. They took this as a sign to stay in the room and relax.

Hours pass and Athena had finally found the time to sit down as the paladins went their separate ways. Cassia has apologized for their behavior before she excused herself. "I don't want an apology I want them all to mature..." Athena said out loud once she thought everyone had left.
"Oh I totally agree..." a familiar voice responded scaring Athena to death. 
"QUIZNACK!" Athena screamer and threw a pillow at the person coming up behind her. She heard them fall to the ground and went to check if they died.
"I'm so sorry!!! I didn't mean to!" Athena was panicking now. The paladin just laughed. "Faith...?" Athena questioned them now recognizing the laugh only she and Cassia basically hear.
"Yes you straight forward maniac...?" Faith responded throwing the pillow back at her.
"I'm not a manic!" Athena shouted back.
"Your right, your little miss perfect..." Faith said jokingly. Athena rolled her eyes.
"I am not perfect..." Athena said.
"You would be surprise..." Faith snapped back not really thinking about the words coming out.

"I hate you..." Athena said
Faith pretended to look offended, "Owww. That hurt..." she teased.
"Wait! No! I'm joking!" Athena hugged her thinking she actually hurt Faith. All Faith could do was laugh again.
"I was teasing you dork..." Faith said hugging her back. Athena's heart fluttered.
"Meanie..." Athena said, "I thought I actually hurt you."
"I'm sorry I'll make it up to you. We can watch a movie in your room and you get to pick it...." Faith suggested.
"Really!!!! YES! I mean yeah sure..." Athena had tried to hide how excited she was. Faith took Athena's hand and when Athena gave her consent they walked over to her room.

They set up the movie that Athena choose. They would be watching the Disney movie Cinderella, the live action of course since they already watched every original version possible of the Disney princesses. Faith had left the room and returned to see the tv playing the intro and a precious Athena being mesmerized by the actress. Faith smiled and sat the drinks and bowl of popcorn down next to Athena. "Thank you Faith... I needed this," Athena said smiling at Faith.
"Don't even mention it..." was the only thing Faith could think of saying before she herself got mesmerized by the gorgeous actress, and the princess.

Throughout the movie they went from tense to being extremely comfortable between each other. Athena found herself turning to look at Faith. Then later on she ended up running out of soda and saw Faith still had some. Faith looked at her eyeing her sofa and offered her a sip. Athena didn't hesitate to drink. Faith laughed quietly to herself. Athena felt herself blush out of embarrassment. She literally was acting like a child but Faith hasn't said anything about it.... she was being nice...? THE EMO KID WAS BEING NICE!?!? Athena was now internally panicking. She had felt her heard flutter, and she hadn't realized how Faith's personality had just flipped when they where alone vs when they are with everyone else. She was lost in this thought for the rest of the movie.

"Are you okay...?" Faith asked the princess confused on why she was so distracted.
"Yeah I'm sorry, I had just had a thought,"  Athena responded acting like her mind hasn't been focused on her all night.
"Little miss perfect doesn't have to be perfect, she can loosen up." Faith said without thinking. Athena hit her shoulder  quickly.
"Oh shut up!" Athena shouted.
"Fine...." Faith said doing the motion of zipping her lips and throwing the key. Athena went wide eyed at how childish Faith decided to be at the moment. She moved closer to Faiths face and unzipped her lips.
"I was joking dummy!" Athena laughed and Faith joined her. When they finished laughing they realized how close they where and quickly moved away, both blushing.

The rest of the night consisted of snacking and messing around. Faith ended up braiding Athena's hair while Athena made a flower crown using the flowers she gathered over time. However over time Athena found herself blacking out. She snapped back to reality when she heard Faiths voice say, "Alright it's done and I added the little flowers you wanted.."
Athena looked into the mirror and smiled, she wasn't expecting Faith to know how to braid her let alone be able to braid things like flowers into it. Then again she did grow up with Lance....
"Your amazing..." Athena let the words slip out.
"What..!?!" Faith said almost choking on her drink.
"I'm sorry!!! I didn't mean to say it out loud," Athena had her gay panic again.
Faith looked her in the eye and saw the red that tinted her cheeks and internally lost it. Faith placed had hand on Athena's cheek and kissed her. Athena let this last for a few seconds before pulling away.
No words came out, Faith was afraid so she got up and didn't look at Athena.

"I'm sorry..." Faith let the only two words that she thought Athena wanted to hear fall from her mouth before she got up . Athena was speechless but didn't want her to leave so she reached out to stop her grabbing onto her jacket.
"It's okay.... I'm not mad..." Athena let the words come out. They both took a breath and then sat back down.
"We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to..." Athena said trying to make sure Faith was okay.
"No I'm sorry, I just caught myself off guard and I know I probably... sorry" Faith felt herself trembling and rambling. She laid down now covering her face. Athena grabbed her hand.
"It's okay... it's okay to be confused," Athena said,  "that's what you told me right?" Faith nodded and then laughed.
Athena went wide eyed shocked at how quickly she changed. "What did I do!?!" Athena got concerned, "are you okay!?!"
"I never thought I'd hear miss perfection say that..." Faith said now revealing her smile again.
"Oh shut up emo..." Athena rolled her eyes and laid down next to her. They laughed and then went to sleep together.
