Take Her Home For Me pt.1

They all stood on the ruins of this old Altean planet. Around them laid others who didn't make it in the end. Old battle ships and those they promised freedom too, just laying there destroyed. The lions powered down, standing there silent. Silent like the rest of the planet.

Inside the mindset of the lions, where the Paladins finally finding each other in the maze they got trapped in. They all look tired, and beat up. They where all smiling howver, beause they had reached the end of the never ending fight. their main enemies done, and gone.
"It's over," Cassia said placing her hand on Faith's shoulder.
"Are we sure? Last time we thought that we ended up having one final battle.." Chase said just to make sure.
"It has to be over! We've done everything we had to do! Lotor and that witch is dead!" Kayla said stating the facts.
"It is over, for once Kayla is done," Faith said smiling and grabbing Athena's hand. Kayla hugs Chase and they pull Lizzy into their hug.
"What now? How do we get home?" Lizzy asks now looking around the void.

They look around again, it was just a dark void, only now there was a light.  From that light appeared the past legends of the universe. Keith, Shiro, Hunk, Pidge, Lance, Allura, and Coran all walk through the light. Faith pinches herself and looks directly at Keith. She pushed Cassia off of her and ripped her hand from Athena, and ran. She ran towards Keith, tears pouring from her eyes.
"Faith!" Cassia called out trying to stop her. Faith just ingored and looked forward at her dad.
"Dad!" Faith says as she ran into the arms of the former paladin of both the red and black lion. She felt his arms wrap around her and started crying more. The others joined in and went to hug their parents. Athena seeing her mother for the first time since the destruction of their home. Levi seeing Keith. Everyone else going towards the other Paladins and such, thanking them for everything they have done for them. Bittersweet.

The moment lasted until the light slowly sarted to fade meaning thier parents where now fading with it. "Whats going on?" Cassia asked and Allura nodded at the others.
"It's time to go home," Allura announced, "you need to go back and put the offical end to Voltron. You all have to leave before your trapped in here" Everyones joy slowly faded once more.
"No! I don't want to leave... not yet," Faith said holding on tighter.
"Wait... no, Mom I'm not leaving not yet! I'll never see you again," Athena said agreeing with Faith, crying.
"I'm sorry, but you have to go...." Allura said hugging her daughter, kissing her on the forehead.
"I love you Athena," Allura said to her daughter. "I love you too," Athena said back.
Faith refused to let go of Keith. "Faith, you have to go," Keith said equally heartbroken.
"No! Not again! Please don't leave me. Dad I love you!" Faith said holding him tighter.
"Faith, I love you too, I'm so proud. I'll see you again, I promise..." Keith sad. He said getting up. The Paladins faded away, leaving just their kids in this void.

The kids looked around, no clear exit was there, but there was still a little void of light.
"I know what has to happen," Levi said.
"What do we have to do Leiv?" Cassia asked now afraid of the answer.
"Someone has to stay behind," Levi said.
"No! There has to be another way..." Lizzy said not wanting to say goodbye.
"It is the only way, I'm sorry," Levi said looking away.
"Then I will stay," Athena said, "I brought them all here, it is the right thing to do..." Athena held back her tears.
"No! I'm not leaving you behind Athena," Faith grabbing Athenas hand.
"Yes Faith, I will stay behind, its the right thing to do," Athena said again.
"No! Athena your not staying behind, I am!" Levi said not wanting them to fight again. "I had a feeling it might come to this and I have one promise to keep. So I will stay behind and nobody can stop this," Levi said making her point clear for everyone. "I'm sorry, but this is how it has to be..." she said holding back her tears. Everyone understood this is what Levi wanted, they agreed amongst themselves even though it hurts.

Levi went up to them one by one. Starting with Chase.
"Chase, you made me laugh and I thank you for teaching me so many new things," she said hugging Chase.
"Thank you for being there to support us Levi," Chase said watching Levi move over to Kayla.
"Kayla, you taught me why Keith was always annoyed by the McClains, and what its like to be confident. Thank you for being dumb," Levi said.
"Your welcome--Wait! I'm not the dumb one!" Kayla said trying not to cry, hugging Levi. She watched her walk to Cassia.
"Cassia, you where a great leader and friend. I admire how well you delt with us. I hope you go far, and that you continue to be the best example for them, and also.... please take care of my sister, Faith," Levi said hugging Cassia.
"I promise to take care of everyone, especially Faith," Cassia said letting go of Levi, letting her walk over to Athena.
"Hey princess, I wish we did not have to part this way," Levi said. Athena was quiet. "I'm sorry that I won't let you do this, but you have so much to look forward to. So please, smile one more time just for me," Levi said looking at Athena. She saw the tears pouring from Athena's eyes as they hugged one more time.
"Levi! I'm going to miss you so much, I wish you would let me do this, but I know you would just keep pulling me back. I promise to keep smiling for you, when I am ready," Athena said holding onto Levi then slowly letting her walk to Lizzy.
Now Levi was quiet as she saw Lizzy, the only girl she really loved, crying.
"I'm so sorry Lizzy," Levi started but got intruppted by her own tears.
"I love you Levi, and I will always love you, no matter how far apart we are," Lizzy said kissing Levi one more time.
"I love you too Lizzy, please don't forget me....." Levi said watching Lizzy nod. They stayed with each other for a few more seconds, before LEvi went towards Faith who clearly did not like where this was going.
"Faith, you where a great sister. I wish I could have gotten to know you more, really get to see how you where before. We grew up with a family that was seperated by space but never at heart. I'm going to miss you asshole," Levi said wrapping her arms around her sister one final time.
"I'm going to miss you shortie, you've done amazing things for all of us. If only I had known you sooner I would have taught you so much more. I would have been there for you since the beginning." Faith said wiping Levi's tears.

They all watched Faith let go of Levi, then watched Levi walk towards the light. Lizzy tried to run after Levi, but Faith and Athena stopped her. Levi stopped in front of them and looked back.
"Faith can you do one more thing for me...?" Levi asked looking at her.
"Anything..." Faith responded.
"Give them all the love I would have given them, and please Faith. Please take her home, take her to the moon for me..." Levi said smiling wiping her own tears. Everyone started slowly leaving, and Chase refused to move. Then without a hesitation Chase dashed towards Levi and gave her one final hug.
"Take care bro, I will always love you," Chase said before disapearing leaving Levi all alone.

All the paladins woke up in ther lions. They looked around, they now saw what was left of the previous fight. They all slowly made their way outside their lions. Nothing was left of Levi they had realized this when they got outside. Lizzy fell to her knees crying. Faith and Athena went to hug her not a word was said. Everyone just felt so lost without the short quiet Levi.

Silence and mourning of their lost, then a voice.
"We have to go home, we need to put an end to everyones pain and announce that its all over," Cassia said.
"I agree," Faith said helping Lizzy stand up.
"Are we ready for this?" Kayla asked looking at them all.
"We've never been ready for anything honestly," Chase said making a joke to lighten the mood. Everyone smiled slightly.
"It's true, nobody here has ever been ready for any of this," Lizzy said now wiping her own tears.
"Then lets go home," Faith said. "Let's go home and end this," she said grabbing Athenas hand. Everyone nods and makes their way to their lions.
They all fly home.
