"What do I owe this visit, Miss Y/N?" Doctor Lee asked.
You smiled and looked down at your lap, pulling something from your purse and handing it to her. "I wanted to double check and make sure I'm actually, pregnant."
She smiled and patted your knee. "You know I love being thorough. Go ahead and lie down on the bed."
You did as she said and laid down on the bed, your hands on your stomach as you watched her set everything up.
"When's the last time you had your period?" She asked.
"A little over a month ago, but I didn't think much of it since I'm a bit irregular." You told her. "Yesterday, though, I started getting these cramping pains and it just added to my curiosity."
She nodded. "Alright, I'll take a blood test, and I'll have the nurse get the results back fast so you're not waiting too long."
"Thank you, Doctor."
She took some blood and had it sent off to be ran, then she sat next to you by the bed. "What are you hoping?"
"Honestly, I'm hoping it comes back positive." You told her. "I just hope Jisung will take the news well."
"Well, the few times the two of you have come here together for check ups, I think he'll be ecstatic." She said. "That boy looks at you in a way every woman wishes to be looked at."
You smiled. "I'm very lucky."
You yawned and rubbed at your eyes, making Doctor Lee check her watch. "You know, it could take an hour or so before the test results are done. Why don't you take a little nap?"
"Really?"
"Absolutely."
You smiled as she patted your leg and left the room. You didn't get much sleep the night before, wondering if the pregnancy test was accurate or not, so you fell asleep almost instantly.
About an hour later, you woke up to gentle shaking and groggily sat up. "Did the test results come back?"
You rubbed your eyes and finally adjusted to the room, seeing a smiling Doctor Lee. "They did, and congratulations. You're gonna be a mommy."
You gasped and grabbed the paper from her, looking over it in disbelief. "Thank you, Doctor Lee. I have to figure out how to tell Jisung!"
You hopped off the bed and gave her a hug, then you quickly paid for your visit and headed off to work. On your way there, you got a call about a case, and knew you would have to wait on the good news.
When you got to the agency, you grabbed your gear and went up to the squad room, where all the boys were already behind their desks.
