"You're just trying to get rid of her!"

The kid Chan was yelling at pushed him back, and Chan stumbled to the ground. "Prove it, momma's boy!"

Chan got up and pushed his classmate in retaliation. Chan pushed him so hard that he went straight to the ground. Chan sat on the kids stomach and started punching, giving him a black eye and a bloody nose before the teachers could pull him off.

Chan was pointing at his classmate as he was being dragged away. "She never did anything to you! There's no reason to be so rude to her!"

Chan slowly opened his eyes and stared up at his ceiling. That girl that he got in a fight for reminded him of you. So kind hearted and sweet, yet so many people had it out for you. He just didn't understand.

He got up and joined his friends in the kitchen, still thinking about the girl from middle school. You and Minho were exact representations of what happened when Chan was younger, except he was still the one standing up for the victim.

"Two of us should go to Y/N's old highschool and ask her teachers if they remember anything about Y/N and Taejun's relationship." He said.

"Is that the first thing you thought of when you woke up, or something?" Felix chuckled.

"Yeah, actually." Chan replied. "There was a memory from middle school I thought of that reminded me of Y/N. Made me wonder why anybody would hate someone like her."

"I'll go." Jeongin said.

Hyunjin stood up. "Me too."

Chan nodded, so the two were off. On the car ride there, Jeongin found your sophomore schedule through the schools system. He double checked to see which teachers you had were still working there, and all but one were still teaching. Hyunjin parked at the front and both of them got out, going inside.

They went into the office and showed their credentials to the front desk, and they immediately got the principal. He walked out of his office and shook their hands.

"Kwon Hyun-shik. The principal."

"I'm Agent Hwang, and this is Agent Yang. We need to speak to the teachers that Y/N L/N had when she attended here." Hyunjin said.

"Y/N? She was such a good student." Mr. Kwon, the principal, said. "Is she alright?"

"That's why we're here, sir." Jeongin said. "Could you please point us in the right direction of the classrooms we need?"

"Yes, of course!"

He showed them to the first classroom they were to look into, then told them the room numbers of the rest. They thanked him and he went on his way, so the boys knocked on the classroom door. One of the students opened the door and the two of them walked in, discreetly showing their badges on their waistbands.

"How can I help you boys?"

"Mrs. Na, we need to ask you a few questions about a couple of your former students." Jeongin told her.

She nodded and told her class to behave, and only when they were leaving did Hyunjin look at the classroom. He froze momentarily at the way everyone was staring at him, pursing his lips as he followed Jeongin and Mrs. Na out.

Once the door was shut, Mrs. Na clasped her hands. "Which former students are we talking about here?"

"Y/N L/N and Park Taejun." Hyunjin replied. "We need to know what their relationship was like during their sophomore year."

"Well," Mrs. Na paused. "Y/N was one of my very few outstanding students, absolutely brilliant, and Taejun wasn't quite at her level. They were as close as close could be, but I could tell Taejun sometimes got jealous of her. He left near the end of their sophomore year without any particular reason and Y/N was heartbroken. Are they okay?"

"That is what we're trying to find out, ma'am." Jeongin replied, pulling a card out of his pocket. "If you think of anything else important, please give us a call."

She nodded and went back to her class, and the two boys were left with more teachers to talk to. After a while, they finished and were walking down the hallway. They all said nearly the same thing. Taejun would sometimes get jealous of you, but the two of you were inseparable and that you were really hurt when he left unexpectedly.

As they walked past the front office, Mr. Kwon rushed out and stopped the boys. "It dawned on me after I left you guys that Y/N worked with both of you, so I figured you'd want these."

He held his hands out and Hyunjin took the pictures. One picture was of you at graduation, another was you doing volunteer work for the school, and the last was a picture of you and Taejun from the yearbook. Hyunjin looked closer at the arm that was around your waist, and pointed what he saw out to Jeongin.

"Thank you, sir. We appreciate these." Jeongin said.

Mr. Kwon smiled and the boys headed back to the house. They got back and Hyunjin immediately went to the living room and laid the pictures out, calling for everyone else. Once everyone was in the living room, he explained everyone's response to the relationship between you and Taejun, then pointed out the pictures.

"These two are just cute pictures of Y/N from highschool," he said, moving his hand to the last picture. "This one is of Taejun and Y/N. Tell me what's wrong with it."

Everyone looked at it, but no one seemed to see what Jeongin and Hyunjin saw. Seungmin looked up at Hyunjin and shrugged.

"What are we not seeing?"

Jeongin pointed at Taejun's hand in the picture. "He's not even touching her."

"But they were best friends?" Minho questioned. "Right?"

"Apparently," Chan paused. "But most best friends aren't scared to touch each other."
