"Yes Ms. Walsh?" My math teacher Mr. Simon called on me. "The answer is 32.7 if you want to be exact." I said answering the warm up question on the board. "Very good." I smiled and high-fived Tay.
"Nerd." Jaime coughed from a few rows behind us. I have at least one of them in each of my classes. Well Science, Math, History and English. And lunch but that isn't really a class.
I rolled my eyes at Jaime. "He's just mad that I can solve these problems and he cant." I angrily whispered to myself. Tay must've heard me because she laughed as well.
I was running late to lunch- well not really. Just a few minutes and that didn't matter much. I walked into the lunch room and noticed my usual table was full and so wasn't Justin's. I instantly knew what happened. I looked at his table and sure enough Vic was looking straight at me smiling innocently. Yeah innocent my ass.
I walked further into the lunch room and Vic pointed somewhere. My gaze drifted to the empty table he was pointing at. I shuffled over to the table and before I sat down I stuck up my favorite finger at him. I smiled cheekily and sat down.
The guy who's phone I broke came up to me with his friends. "Well would you look at that? Did someone lose all of their friends?" The idiot snickered. He talked to me like a baby which really ticked me off. I wanted to say something but for once I didn't have anything snarky to say. I looked down at the table and wasn't mad. I wasn't sad. I was just kind of numb. I didn't have an emotion to what happened. All I know is it happened and it sucked.
"Actually no. She didn't. Now get lost before I kick you ass." I looked up from the table and saw Oliver? I thought it would be Mike but no. Oliver? Alrighty then. "Hey Oli. You didn't have to do that you know." He smirked at me. I dont like this. "Oh I know. But I did. And do you know that you dont have to do my math homework tonight... But you will?" He sat down next to me. "You do kind of owe me."
I sighed. "Fine whatever. Hand it over." I picked up my bag from the floor and took out my folder so I could put his homework in it. After digging around his bag he got out a crumbled piece of paper and handed it to me. I unwrinkled it the best I could before putting it in my folder and putting it in my bag. "Thanks love. Now try not to get everything right okay? Wouldn't want anyone to get high standards for me."
"Yeah whatever you weirdo." He slung his arm around my shoulders. My nose scrunched up. "Um no." I took his and and placed it on the table.
"Sykes." Oliver looked behind me. Why? Why dose this always happen? God damn it! "Fuentes." Oliver nodded.
"Hey babe can we talk now?" Vic whispered to me. I swear he is one of the creepiest people. And babe? Did he seriously feel the need to call me that? "Uh thanks Oliver but I think I'm going to go sit somewhere else." I cringed at the end of the sentence. "Later Jen." I picked up my bag and walked with Vic back to his table. Mike of course wasn't here. "Wheres your brother?" I asked getting kind of nervous. I would feel a lot better if he was here right now because frankly he is the only one I dont hate. "He got in school suspension so he wont be able to come into the lunch room until Friday." Oh great. Just my luck.
You know I find it really weird how Jaime and Tony never speak without Vic's permission. I mean they probably do but they act so serious all the time. Its weird. "So what do you want to talk to me about?" I tried getting straight to the point. "The fact that your tutoring my brother. Why?" He crossed his arms over his chest. "Because I dont know. He needed help so I thought I would tutor him I guess." I got so nervous. I guess he found my answer amusing because he smiled. But one of those smiles that evil villains have. Not a genuine smile. It kind of scared me. "How nice. I guess that means we'll be seeing a lot more of each other then?" I shifted in my seat uncomfortably. "Yup." I said softly. Lucky me.
