I woke up on Thursday feeling like absolute shit so I called my mom.
"Mommyyyyy." I whined into the other end. "Yes Jenna?" My mom seemed like she was in a rush so I decided to hurry up. "I dont feel very well. Will you call me in sick today?" Sure I could do it myself but this is so much easier. "I trust that your not lying so uh I guess I can call you out. But this means no hanging out with anyone or going out if you magically feel better, you got me?"
I nodded but realizing she couldn't see me I spoke. "Yeah mom I know the rules. They haven't changed since I was eight. Anyways bye I love you." "Love you too, feel better. Oh! And keep me updated if it gets worse." I hung up when she finished.
My head hurts, my nose is stuffy, I'm insanely hot like more than normal and my stomach feels weird. Ughhh.
I buried my face into the blankets and snuggled into my bed further. I kicked away everything except a sheet and wiggled around before getting comfy. I shut my eyes and drifted back to sleep.
I woke up to the sound of my door bell. Oh how lovely.
My stomach still felt weird but my head didn't hurt anymore so thats a good thing. I went down stairs and opened my door before looking who it was. I groaned and almost shut the door again. "What?" I groaned to Mike and Vic who was standing behind him. "Why are both of you here at the same time? I can barley handle one of you at a time." I continued whining.
Mike laughed at me. "Jen. You look like crap."
"Thanks because thats exactly how I feel." I muttered I walked away and went to the kitchen so I could make tea.
It just now dawned on me that I slept for an extra seven hours! Damn.
I put the water in the kettle and turned on the stove.
I turned around and bent over my table. I started to feel nauseous. When Mike walked in and started rambling about who knows what, I lifted my index finger turned around and ran to the trash can. Well there goes everything I've eaten in the past week.
"Fuck." I groaned walking back to the table. "Carry on." I told Mike. Ugh I feel gross. "I was just talking about why you didn't go to school. I guess this is why." I nodded. I didn't notice it before but now I do. "Hey if you had in-school suspension, how did you notice I wasn't in school?" I asked. Mike took longer than normal to answer so I know what ever it is is a lie. "Well I didnt see you come out of school and I asked Vic and he said he didn't see you so I made him drive me here."
I guess that makes sense. "What happened to your car?" I asked out loud. "The engine finally gave out. I'm getting it fixed but until then me and Vicky here share a car." He stabbed his thumb at Vic who had an annoyed look on his face. "Finslly? You mean I was riding around in a four wheeled death trap?!" I yelled. I got a little dizzy from my own outburst and gripped the counter.
"Jen I think you should lay down. Come here." Mike tried to bring me over to him but I stayed in place. "No I"m fine. Plus I have some tea to make." Just as I finished that sentence the kettle started to whistle. "No you come here, I got the tea. Vic will you bring her to the couch?" Why is he so cencerned? I'm not even that sick. I shook my head. "You really dont have to." I stated. Mike pointed his finger at me. "Hush."
I gave up and Vic wrapped his right arm around my waist and held my hand with his left surprisingly gently. I was so close to the couch but then I felt too dizzy to move. Everything hurt but then it all went away and my vision became blurry then soon faded to black.
I opened my eyes and was in an unfamiliar area. My senses kicked in and I sat up quickly. I calmed down a little when I saw Mike in a chair next to me. "Mike? Why am I in you room? Couldnt you for once be normal and I dont know call the doctor? Ugh take me home."
