>Vic's POV<

"Hey Vicky!" I felt someones finger run along the top of my back. I turned my attention to Courtney. "Hello?" I raised my eyebrows at her. The guys went silent and just ate their lunch.

She giggled and sat down. She leaned into me and trailed her fingers up and down my thigh getting a little too high up for my liking. "What is it Courtney?" I asked exhaustedly. "Well I'm free Friday night if you want to... Hang out." She whispered the last words into my ear. I pushed her hand away. "Sorry. Not interested." I looked at her. She looked offended. "Oh. Well it's your loss." She snapped and stood up to rush away. "Yeah my loss." I snickered when I knew she couldn't hear me.

"So I hear you got a new song?" Jaime asked excitedly.

"Sure do. I guess I just had some... inspiration." I glanced down at my bandaged hand before quickly looking back up to Jaime. "Uh huh. Speaking of inspiration has anyone else noticed that she hasn't been in school since this morning?" Jaime asked. "Yeah. I wanted to check on her but-" I cut Mike off. "But she isn't our problem."

I noticed.

She left after first period. I watched her get into a blue convertible with some other guys and a girl.

I sighed and crossed my arms. I laid them on the table and rest my chin on them. The bell rang signifying the end of lunch. "I'll see you guys later." I swung my backpack over my shoulder and was the first one to leave.

>Time skip to band practice<

"What's so good about picking up the pieces?" My voice faded out. "That was good! But at the beginning I feel like we should speed it up a little more." Tony said. I nodded. "And around the middle we should make it all hardcore and loud and bam!" I laughed.

Tony agreed with me. He scribbled down some notes and changed some stuff. Then fifteen minutes past and we were up and doing it again.

I sung the last line of the song and Jaime let his bass go and clapped. It's a good thing they have straps on their instruments.

"That's the sound." Jaime said. We all gave him confused looks. "Just dont change it again." He told us with a roll of his eyes.

"Okay so wanna try it again?" I asked. I got a thumbs up and took a deep breath. Here we go.

"Sunshine, there ain't a thing that you can do that's gonna ruin my night.
(But, there's just something about)
This dizzy dreamer and her bleeding little blue boy.
Licking your fingers like you're done and,
You've decided there is so much more than me.
And baby, honestly it's harder breathing next to you, I shake.
I brought a gun and as the preacher tried to stop me.
Hold my heart it's beating for you anyway.

What if I can't forget you?
I'll burn your name into my throat.
I'll be the fire that'll catch you.
What's so good about picking up the pieces?
None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole.

Nobody prays for the heartless.
Nobody gives another penny for the selfish.
You're learning how to taste what you kill now.
Don't mind me, I'm just reaching for your necklace.
Talking to my mom about this little girl from Texas.

What if I can't forget you?
I'll burn your name into my throat.
I'll be the fire that'll catch you.
What's so good about picking up the pieces?
None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole.

Just give her back to me.
You know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need.

So, baby, what if I can't forget you?
(What if I can't forget you?)
Collide invisible lips like a shadow on the wall,
And just throw, oh no.
You can't just throw me away.
