Title: Dinner
Setting: a lil before the epilogue

The day was dark and rainy. Dark clouds covered Philly, matching the depressing day. Almost everyone was indoors due to the unwelcoming weather. Houses were quiet—

Except for theirs....

Currently, Urä and Jaden were having a tug of war over Fifi, Urä's babydoll. Hayden was on the phone, and Michael was in his own thoughts as always. He doesn't usually have his episodes of rage anymore the moment he gets angry—but it happens

The house was loud with fighting children, "My Little Pony" blasting on the TV and Hayden shushing them every few minutes.

Apart from anger, Michael often suffers from anxiety. He's had anxiety since 19, but not as dominant as now. It's just him overthinking though. His brain over thinks things daily, which always contributed to his anger and sensitivity to certain words (crazy) (Sky)

Suddenly, Jaden and Urä's fight was cut short once the arm popped off, sending Urä to the floor.

She slowly stood up as Jaden looked down at the one armed doll in his hand and instantly dreaded it once he saw his little sister slowly look at him with dark eyes. She was small, but her actions can be big.

It was silent for a second, and Jaden being Jaden started to laugh but a nervous one-

She began to scream extra loud at the top of her lungs, causing Michael to finally snap out of his thoughts and stare at the small girl along with Hayden who shook her head from the dining room table. "Lexi I'll call you back." She spoke

Although it was rainy outside, today was a family gathering day. Everyone was to go to Michael's family's house for dinner and Michael had second thoughts on that-

The doorbell rang just in time but it didn't stop Urä from dramatically screaming off the top of her lungs due to her doll and Michael kisses his teeth as he stood up from his spot and went to the door. "Hayden," he called with a half smile. "Your turn to deal wit' this."

He opened the door to see Benny who held a few envelopes in his hand. "Aye bro," Benny greeted him as they dapped each other up.

Benny recently moved onto Michael's block and was just a few houses down. "They keep givin' me yo mail." He chuckles and Michael shakes his head. "Mailman's a dunce." He responded. "But thanks." He shrugged

Benny furrowed his brows once he heard Hayden's frustrated attempts to calm Urä down from her tantrum. "Everything ight in here?" He asks as he stretched his neck a little into the house and Michael looked back scratching the back of his neck. "Nothin' outta the usual."

Their house is always loud. Only two kids now, but the noise had increased day by day. "What y'all doin' today anyway? It's depressin' as hell out here."

Michael tensed up and rolled his eyes a bit. "A dinner at my mama's house." He simply said and the way he said it made Benny even more suspicious but he didn't press on it and went on about his day. "Ight man." He said and left.

Michael closed the door and walked back to the living room where he saw Hayden now holding Fifi—reattaching her arm. "See? I fixed her." She cooed to the girl and Urä's face beamed with a smile as her small arms reached up for her doll and hugged it tight

Her eyes flashed at Jaden, giving him the death glare before stomping to her room. They're halfway through getting ready for the get together-

The thing is, after the wedding, things were said to be fine and content. Hayden and Michael were set to be married, be on good terms with all family and be happy. But that's never the case.
