Jaelynn was actually excited to go to school today. As she finished curling the last lock of her newly straightened plum hair, she smiled satisfied with her appearance today. She had on a white floral patterned skater skirt that came to about mid-thigh, a white laced crop top, and a light blue jean flannel with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. It took her about two in a half hours to straighten her curly mane of hair last night but it was worth it cause now her hair was curled to perfection with the curling wand. Jaelynn woke up in a great mood this morning and she didn't know why- maybe it was because she gets to see a certain someone she might have developed a crush on over the weekend.
She sat down on her bed and pulled her brown heeled booties up her feet before she stood up. Jaelynn smiled at the thought of Liam and how they spent almost all of Saturday together over the weekend. She couldn't wait to see him at school- they both had the same problems, they were afraid to disappoint their parents. Even though they got off on the wrong foot, they actually had a lot in common.
"Jaelynn, I need to get to work!" Her dad, Jack, called up the stairs.
"Coming!"
Jaelynn took one last glance at herself in the mirror before she grabbed her brown leather shoulder bag and slipped it over her shoulder as she left her room. She ran down stairs and met her dad at the front door who was tapping away furiously on his phone. Jaelynn instantly felt herself get scared. 'What if he's pissed at me for doing something?' she thought as she followed him out to his black Chrysler.
Jaelynn always got scared around her parents when they were mad- usually they would take their anger out on her by giving her a long lecture that she doesn't need. She buckled herself in as her dad pulled out of the driveway to their home and out on to the street. Jack looked over at his daughter, his golden like brown eyes narrowing at his daughter's outfit choice.
"Jaelynn..." Jaelynn turned her head to her dad. "Why are you so.. dressed up?"
She started to blush as she thought about the reason why and she quickly turned her head to look out the car window as a bunch of buildings and homes pass by.
"No reason.." She muttered quietly.
Jaelynn could feel her dad's scrutinizing gaze on her as she squirmed in her seat. Did he not like her outfit? Was she not pretty enough to wear it? A lot of similar thoughts popped into Jaelynn's head as she thought about it.
Jaelynn could feel her heart sinking to her stomach- Liam probably won't like it. With all those depressing thoughts swirling around in her mind, Jaelynn didn't notice that she was almost to school. As Beacon Hills Highschool came into view a sigh escaped her mouth- she wasn't ready for this day. Jack pulled up to the curb and watched as his daughter gathered her bag up from the floor. Jack never realized how quiet and how sad she looks every time he drops her off to school or when she barely speaks to him and his wife at dinner.
