30 minutes later Ami was wracked with both guilt and unease as she wrung her hands together from her seated position on one of the many armchairs that dotted the living space of the angel's apartment. Michael was simply staring at the new human addition who currently lay down the length of the couch. Her red hair contrasting painfully against the paleness of the woman's skin, her once invisible freckles were now obvious...highlighting the woman's condition.
Jene was engaging in a hushed conversation with his sister in the corner while Raziel simply waited. The Archangel of Divine Knowledge was sitting upright at the kitchen table, sipping his coffee like this was nothing he didn't expect. Of course, that was probably true, however, Ami found the angel's lack of concern and the fact that he rarely seemed to divulge the information he knew annoying.
" Aah Raziel, since you clearly know something can you please share it with me? Because currently, we have technically kidnapped this woman even though we also technically couldn't leave her there either."
Ami stated in confusion as she went back to wringing her hands together. This wasn't good yet she didn't see a way out of the situation until Gabi woke up.
" She is an angel Ami, Jene did the same to me when he got annoyed that my angelic nature hadn't truly woken up yet. The protectors have the ability to awaken our divine sides..although what Jade did was reckless and quite sporadic. I believe it is working however because 'Gabi' as you call her wasn't even close to being awakened the process will take quite a while and it most definitely quite taxing on her. Especially if her angelic side was not ready to awaken."
The side-eye Michael threw at Jade at that moment was icier than anything Ami had seen, it had her even shivering and she wasn't even the target. How Jade managed to shrug casually and mutter...
" It worked didn't it."
before she continued her conversation with her agitated looking brother Ami didn't know.
" What do you see in her aura, Ami? For your ability works much the same as my own, we both can see information beyond the mortal veils of this world."
Raziel stated softly, sparking Ami to look at Gabi with a newfound interest. With a deep breath, the psychic human allowed her abilities to take over. The physical world fell away as her 6th sense settled fully into place and took over. Despite knowing it wasn't a physical reaction, Ami squinted her eyes as the aura of the angels in the room harshly assaulted her vision. The Archangels vivid and substantial aura were impossible to even look at out of her peripherals while Jade's and Jene's auras held such a shimmery glow she could only just barely look at them for a split second before looking away, the afterglow of their auras imprinting her vision for several long moments.
The awakening angel's aura, however, was struggling. Michael was right, while the woman clearly had some sort of angelic nature or connection about her, her human nature was definitely not ready to step aside for her divine energy and her angelic nature was not ready to step into its main role within her either. Currently, it seemed like the divine nature was waking up, albeit slowly and her human nature had shut her body down into a sleep-like state so it could process what was happening.
" Raziel you seemed to awaken quicker..."
Ami trailed off as she stared at Gabi's sleeping form.
" Remember though Ami, Raziel was much further along in awakening then this woman is now. Raziel was pretty much fully awakened, his human ego was just holding on. I know when Jene awakened me it took a while for me to properly recover...How long did it take Jene?"
The angeling paused his conversation with his sister to look at Michael seriously. After a moment's consideration the angel answered.
" When I awakened you, you were in a power coma-like state for roughly a week. It was a nerve-wracking time for me however I knew in the end that it would be worth it. I knew that your body and spirit needed time to develop...However, this is an entirely different situation."
" He is correct."
Raziel chimed in with a careful nod.
" Michael had no Earth family that kept him tied to the place Jene found him, he had no people that would miss him if he suddenly disappeared for a week. In my circumstance, I am socially isolated and my human connection was fortunately psychic anyway and knew about my divine nature."
The Archangel gave a rare but genuine smile towards the listening Ami.
" This young woman could have family and friends waiting for her. She could have a job and other commitments. We simply cannot let her sleep off the power coma as simple as it might be. We have no way of knowing what kind of angel she is...I highly doubt she is an Archangel though, she resembles none of our sisters."
Michael stated matter of factly as he shrewdly observed the young woman asleep on the couch.
" I say that Raziel performs a mind meld to find out."
Jade uttered into the tense room, the myriad of expressions around the room only highlighting the significance of her suggestion. Jene's awed expression coupled with Michael's reserved one didn't compare to the look of barely concealed rage on Raziel's face.
"No, that is far too dangerous."
Raziel declared quietly, yet his tone boomed across the small space.
" Yet it is the only way."
Michael proclaimed after a few minutes of tense silence.
" It is the only way."
