The captain and Kiana

Part Three: chapter Three: Mission

The month went by and Kiana, bronya and the captain were preparing for the mission. The three of them discussed with Theresa to allow their students to come along as to get some on field training. During the rest of the month Training was standard. The students were now more efficient with their skills and had more knowledge on the types. Kiana still kept a close eye on the student that could teleport. However after a week Kiana just dismissed it and focused on training all of them.

"You guys ready?" Said the captain to Bronya and Kiana. "Yes sir." The both of them said. The captain then turned to Kiana and said "You did find someone to take care of Damien right?" Kiana sighed "Unfortunately everyone has their own mission and I couldn't get anyone we know, so he has to come with us." The captain shook his head "Well he can come along, I'll watch him on the hyperion."

Meanwhile with mei and her son. "Are you sure Alex?" Mei said. The young boy nodded "Yes mom, I have been having weird visions for a while now. That's why I need to go to the sea of quantra to find out what they mean. That means I'll be gone for a while. Maybe for a long time" Mei sighed "I understand Alex. But please come home safe." Alex then hugged Mei "Thanks Mom." Mei smiled "You're welcome. I guess this is what a being a mother feels like."

Back on the hyperion a call came in from Mei. "Hey Mei, what's up?" Said the captain who was waiting for the all clear to go. Mei chuckled and replied with "I'm good, it's just that my son wants to look at the sea of quantra. he said he has been having visions for a while. Could he go with you?" Kiana butted in and said "Yeah we can do that, I'll protect him for ya." The captain smiled and nodded "I see, well I'll send Kiana to go get him" Mei smiled "Many thanks."

Alex boarded the hyperion and was hugged by Damien. "Hey, damien" He said smiling. "Alright you two, why don't you go to the bridge. I have to prepare my team." The two of them smiled and went off to the bridge. Kiana then chuckled "Those two are really good friends." Before going to her cabin and getting ready for her mission.

 Three hours went by and the hyperion approached the location.Cocolia grinned as she saw the hyperion come close. She then pressed a button to hide the mechs scattered around the sea. "Soon you three will be gone from existence Like they vanished off the face of the earth and the only one who knows that they're alive will be me.  Then there's that child of theirs, I'll take him in and raise him as my own"

Kiana got her team ready while bronya did the same. Before exiting Kiana went to the bridge and said to the captain "We're ready to go down." The captain then said "Ok, please be careful. I fear the worst." Kiana nodded "I understand." She then walked up to the captain and kissed him while adjusting his collar "I'll see you soon, Dear." She said as she let go and walked to the cargo bay.

Kiana and bronya lept down into the sea and saw that it was empty safe for a few tents. "Hey." Said Kiana looking around "Where is our contact." Bronya then heard some static come from behind her. The Duo then went over to where the static came from and saw a radio. The voice that came out of the radio said "Ah, you're finally here. Please make your way down to the lower levels. I decided to start researching." Bronya then said "Wait here for our teams subject Kiana and then come down." Kiana nodded. "Got it bronya." 

The next 5 minutes was Kiana's and Bronya's teams coming down from the hyperion. Kiana looked at her team and said "Alright, get into teams of two and patrol the area. I'll be down with bronya. Radio in if you see anything." Kiana then ran down to where bronya is.

Kiana admired the sea as she went deeper. As she looked around she saw bronya on another platform. Kiana jumped off of hers and landed next to bronya. Bronya then sighed "She's here, like you asked." The person "Good, Now I can do this." Kiana felt a kick come from her back which knocked her away. Bronya turned to see the thing that kicked Kiana, only to be flung back. Kiana watched as a woman emerged from below. "Co-Cocolia, how did you escape." Cocolia grinned "That's a secret I'll take to the grave. Now, I have someone you might want to meet." Kiana looked up to see her student "What the, was she with you the whole time?" The student was the one that Kiana watched. Cocolia laughed "Yes, I created her to take you out, She is practically a clone of you." Bronya then sat up and said "Impossible, otto's logs said she couldn't be cloned." Cocolia smiled "Yes, but I found the secret to do so. Show it to them my ally." The girl then pulled out a core. "A herrscher core." Said Kiana "Which one?" Cocolia smiled "Why don't you find out." The student walked towards Kiana. With out any warning Kiana grinned and quickly moved towards the student of hers and without warning struck her in the back. The girl staggered and She looked like she was ready to fight.

Kiana and the girl were fighting when Bronya heard the captain's voice come from her radio. "Kiana, bronya. Are you there, everything's gone to shit." Bronya said into the radio "Subject Captain, Cocolia is back she lured us here. What seems to be the problem on your end?" The captain sounded like he was panicking "Damien is gone, I turned for one second and when I turned back the front window was broken, and the students are under attack.  I am giving them cover but they won't last long with the mech pounding us." Bronya nodded and said "I got it." After turning her radio off Bronya said to Kiana. "The bronya has to help gotta help our students. Is subject Kiana ok?" Kiana grinned and said "Yeah, I got it. Go." as she punched the girl in the chest.

Kiana Hit the girl with with all her might sending her flying. "Ha Ha. Yes" She said watching the girl get up "Oh you want more. You should really learn your lesson." Cocolia grinned catching Kiana's attention. "What are you grinning about?" Cocolia just smiled and said "Well, she is a healer." Kiana then saw the girl stand up without any scratches. "Oh god dammit." She said going in for another strike. When she saw something out of the corner of her eye that made her stop. It was damien running down the slope with Alex following behind. Kiana was suddenly pinned to the wall and the girl began punching Kiana. Kiana's eyes then turned orange and she struck the girl multiple times not allowing her to strike back. She then summoned lances to pierce her and keep her in place. The girl could not react quick enough to Kiana's attacks and easily fell. After retrieving the lances out of the body Kiana saw the herrscher gem and without even thinking she ripped it out of the girls body killing her. Kiana looked at the gem and found it to disappear. Not thinking anything of it she went down deep to find her son.

Cocolia snuck away during the fight between Kiana and her student. She thought it would be better to escape while the fighting above them was happening. She got to the surface only to find Bronya and the others have destroyed the mech that she planted. "Cocolia due to reasons I will be placing you under custody until further notice." Bronya then pulled out a pair of handcuffs and said "I ask of subject cocolia to put her hands behind her back." Cocolia complied due to the fact that there were valkyries everywhere and she could not take any of them on. "I'll be questioning you later."

Kiana ran to the bottom of the sea to see damien and Alex standing in front of a giant portal. Damien got closer and Kiana went wide eyed "Damien!!" She cried out. This startled him causing him to fall into the portal. Seeing what Happened Alex jumped in as well. As Kiana ran towards it, the portal collapsed. The boys were trapped. Kiana fell to her knees and broke down. Her son was gone.
