Exchange For a Year

Chapter 5

Aaron's POV

This new chick just hugged me. She. Hugged. Me. No-one would even dare to do that, maybe I was a bit rude about it too cause it looks like I really offended her. Oh well. Maybe there's more to her than I first though. I clear my throat to get her attention.

"Aaron, Aaron Lycan,"

She perks up a bit, she has a nice smile.

"Aphmau Shalaskashala,"

Woah, that's a big name, no way will I remember all that.

"I'll just call you Aph,"

I guess I get a nod of approval. She isn't frightened of me at all? That never happens, I'm a loner, a delinquent as some prefer to say. My reputation tend to speak for itself and so no-one ever approaches me, much less hugs me in the middle of class.

"Want to hang after school I guess, if you want?"

"I bad at English,"

"Um ok"

"I am practising."

She is really bad at this.... Hold up she has no ears and tail, why is she in a werewolf class if she isn't one. Or maybe she can't show them, it happens to some werewolves.

The rest of class flies by and I question why she would want to hang out with me. Like has no one told her that I'm a 'social outcast' or that I'm always in detention for getting into fights or that fact that no-one EVER speaks to me, except for obviously teachers.

We go to a park and we are both still in uniform so my parents would recognise me if they were to drive past. I mean I don't know if her parents will be mad but she doesn't seem to care. She opens a translator app on her phone and speaks fluent something into it.

"Oh the senior exchange thingy right,"

"Si. Así que, ¿por qué estaban tan enojados cuando te abracé?"

"No-one ever speaks to me let alone hugs me,"

"¿Ningún amigo?"

"Nope, I'm the social outcast of Phoenix Drop High,"

"Entiendo,"

"Seriously, you must have tons of friends back in Spain."

"Tengo cero amigos, y nadie quiere conocerme."

"Nobody at all?"

"Nadie,"

"Aphmau, you're just like me..."
