Exchange For a Year

Chapter 9

Aph's POV

Today's the day. Aaron is gonna try for a spot on the football team and I hope he gets in. I've been getting along more with the girls and the even said I should have a 'sleepover' at their house. Whatever that is supposed to be, they've said its super fun.

I change into my gym uniform at lunch cause I have that class afterwards and I'm going to watch Aaron's match against Laurence. After spending a bit more time with them he's not all that bad as I first though, still makes me wary of him when I see a bunch of girls swoon over every little thing he does.

"Aph you don't have to watch this,"

"I want to,"

"Just saying I may embarrass myself so be warned,"

"Good luck,"

Yeah, my English is gotten a lot better while I've been here, I can't say too much fluently but I can understand quite a bit. I take a seat on the bleacher, where I can see what I believe is the rest of the football team and that girl group that always is around.

"Alright, 1 v 1, you know what to do,"

"Let's do this,"

It kicks off, Aaron sweeps past Laurence and steals the ball from under his feet. He quickly pulls some moves and whips it back in the direction of the net. I know he's a werewolf but it's a non-speciesest team and already has some non-human members. The ball moves back and forth between the two, no one has yet to score a goal.

"First to score wins,"

"Nah make it fifty!" someone shouts from afar.
The rest of the team must be hoping for him to make it so they can play the season. I guess it's a thing I don't actually know how this game fully works. The ball hits a net and everyone goes silent.... It looks like Aaron just scored.

"Yes good job Aaron!"

Both boys jog over in my direction.

"Thanks Aph,"

"You know you put up a pretty mean game out there,"

"It was kinda sloppy," Aaron admits

"Nah man, if you can fight me like that its good," Laurence compliments his skill, he must be happy about having a full team.

"Thanks,"

"So you wanna join the team?"

Aaron's POV

Aph gives me a very encouraging look, I can tell she probably thinks this will be good for me. This was admittedly fun and I would like to do it again, my only concern would be the rest of the team. I guess at least Laurence is cool with me.

"Sure,"

"Welcome to the football team Aaron ... uh?"

"Aaron Lycan,"

A/N: its now the weekend so I is write more updates. Yay.
