Aph's POV

Aaron's dad still looks angry like super duper angry. I don't think he likes me too much. The woman next to him is the one I can only assume to be his mom gives me a reassuring look before turning to him.

"Derek honey, calm down,"

"Rachel, her interruption was rude and uncalled for."

"I understand but haven't you noticed Aaron's been happier lately most likely because of her,"

I kinda know what they're talking about but not fully I'm still learning but his mom is certainly a lot calmer. I don't really know what to do now. I stand idle by, the room is silent all eyes are on me but I'm only looking at Aaron, he takes a lot from his father.

"I should go,"

"No, young lady sit down we will discuss this rude outburst of yours,"

We sit in that office for what feels like hours discussing the fight, my sudden appearance, and the Alpha situation. According to Mr Gavin since Aaron beat the old Alpha in a fight, no matter the time and place, he becomes the new Alpha and is tasked with naming a female.

"You may all leave now,"

Single file we exit the principal's office and head outside. Before we part ways after the whole ordeal, Aaron hugs me.

"Thanks for being my friend Aph,"

I stand on my tip-toes and place a light kiss on his cheek, he's really tall compared to me so it's hard but I achieve it. His face flushes pink, I feel my own cheeks flare up a little. It made him smile so that's good, he needed a bit of cheering up after today. It honestly made me feel better as well.

"Same to you Aaron,"

Walking over to the bus stop I look at the timetable and discover I've just missed it and there won't be another one for an hour. I plop my bag on the bench, pulling out my earbuds and phone. Gotta kill this time somehow. I could do a bit of math too, I guess.

"Hey, would you like a lift?"

I see Aaron's mom pull up in front of me.

"Oh um sure,"

I climbed in the back next to Aaron and I realized I didn't know how to give direction to my hotel I mostly go on the bus.

"Aphmau was it?"

"Yes Mrs Lycan,"

"Please call me Rachel. Would you like to stay at our place for dinner, I'm sure it a bore staying in the hotel room all the time."

"Sounds fun."

And it really was, she cooked this really nice Thai stir-fry with just the right amount of spice. A wonderful change from the grilled cheese sandwiches I've mostly been living off. It was nice to me out of the hotel and in a normal household for once, part of me was hoping they'd let me come more often but I don't know if Aaron's dad would like that. He seems to really not like me a bit.
