Chapter 41

A/N: I know its been a while since I last posted a chapter of any book, but I'm on school break and now am wanting to put a pin in this one and wrap it up nicely. 🥰

Firstly I want to thank my usual readers for inspiring me to continue with my writing and for being so patient while I've been absent for Wattpad. It means a hell of a lot. Secondly the last few chapters of this book with be a bit longer then average, and with my other books chapters will vary in length so I can add some more details without boundaries. Aph's POV

I haven't been happier since my birthday, the only downside is that I only have just under two months left before I'm expected back home but only my mom will be there to greet me. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long to get everything organised then I can be back here getting on with my life, of course I'll hopefully still be with Aaron. I know everyone wants me here and here is where I want to be so I see no other problems.

"Aphmau, time for school,"

Eric has become more of a father to me after everything that happened although I don't understand why that is something I aim to figure out. I grab my bag and head out the door for school, Katelyn is finishing the year online and then doing her finals after she has her kid.

"Bye guys,"

I decide to walk with Kasey and his friend because I don't want to be walking alone after what happened and no one wants me alone.

"Heya Aph, have fun at school!"

"I sure will try Kase, don't worry about me too much ok?"

"Alrighty, later,"

He runs off with his friends, will he still be in school by the time I get back here, maybe I can watch him graduate if he is. I can be there with the Fyre's because as far as I'm concerned they're family. I wander the halls for a little because most people don't come this early and if they do its because of extra activities they do for school, like the football team Aaron plays for.

"Aphmau!"

"Hey..... um I'm sorry what was it again?"

"Noi, and this is Pierce."

These two would have to be the more polite ones of their group plus the nerdy one, whatever his name is I really can't remember. They sometimes come sit with me in the mornings and we just causally chat about things. They seem like very nice people and I wouldn't mind keeping in touch with them as well.

"Do you play Among Us by any chance?"

"Hell yes I do!"

Its only my new favourite game ever, I mean besides Minecraft, its heaps of fun being the imposter and sabotaging everyone around me. We all pull out our phones and we jump onto a server with a few other people and start the game. I watch as orange stalks white and I bet he's the imposter so I call a meeting as dob him in. Its always fun when someone gets thrown out for being too sus.

"Hey you three, whatcha up to."

"Playing a game, haha in your face orange!"

Travis plops down next to me and watches over my shoulder as Noi groans in defeat. Haha booted and we win! Travis jumps in on the next game and obviously picks to be green as we get allocated our roles once more. This tiem we decide to have two imposters so I am with someone and we have to sabotage everything and kill everyone.

"You know what would be even better? This game in Minecraft!"

As we all play along with our games Travis' phone goes blip blip and when he checks it its clear something is off. He gets up and says he'll talk to me later and he'll keep me updated. Not that he'd even tell me what to keep me updated on exactly.

"Morning Aphmau, where's he off to in a hurry?"

"I don't know Lucinda but somethings fishy."

After finishing our game, Noi and Pierce take off to meet up with their other friends before class and I chill back with Lucinda when she starts talking about some idiot from her witchcraft class when the guy must hear her and walks past blowing her a kiss and doing that 'call me later' thing.

"What a jerk,"

"You're telling me sister, he's obnoxious."

"Who's a jerk? Not me I'm hoping." A familiar voice buts in.

"Of course not you Garroth, I'm talking about Ivan."

"Oh Irene save us,"

Garroth sits across from us on the table and the two of them jump into a lively rant about how much they hate that Ivan guy, I haven't seen him around much but he must be bad if these two are complaining about him, more so Garroth but then again, he has been different after the whole ordeal with Laurance.

"Did you guys hear about it?" Dante takes his usual seat next to Garroth and looks at us expecting an answer.

"Hear about what?"

"Katelyn went into labour this morning, Travis is on his way there now I just passed him. I think he's having little bit of pre-parental panic."
