Kai had been spending more and more time with Katherine as they ironed out the details of her plan. She was hoping to get the marriages sooner rather than later because she was tired of dealing with her sister and her stupid friends. It seemed like they couldn't do anything right and every day they had a new problem to deal with.
"I think this is going to kill me." She groaned as Kai massaged her feet.
"You picked them for a reason." He pointed out. He was always doting after her which she would've thought was weird if she wasn't Katherine Pierce. She was a goddess and was used to being worshipped.
"I lucked out that my sister and her friends were perfect for the Mikaelsons. I just wish they weren't total idiots." Katherine scoffed. "Now I just have to figure out how to get proposals." Katherine hated that the Mikaelsons were old fashioned because they wouldn't take it well if the girls proposed to them. Elijah would freeze up and be moody about it for the rest of the week. While he claimed he was a feminist, he was an old fashioned man with certain expectations in a relationship. Kol would run away as fast as possible. His breakup with his high school girlfriend left him with a fear of commitment. Kol had to be the one to move their relationship forward. Klaus would probably be the most understanding except for the fact that he was paranoid about everything. His trust issues would end up exploding the relationship before Caroline could even finish the question.
"You know Elijah the best. Start with him." Kai suggested.
"I dated him for 6 months and couldn't get a ring. How am I supposed to get one for my lesser half?" She sighed dramatically.
"You are a tempting seductress and he is a family man. You were doomed from the start." Katherine rolled her eyes at the look he was giving her.
"Elena is definitely boring enough to be wife material." Katherine thought for a moment. "Elena needs to meet his family. If she can get in good with Elijah's family, he'll be sold." She concluded.
"Lucky for us, Esther and Mikael Mikaelson's vow renewal ceremony has been all over the news." Kai grinned. Katherine grabbed her phone and looked up the event. It seemed the Mikaelson parents were throwing her a bone.
"That means Bonnie, Caroline and Elena will be reunited sooner than we anticipated." Katherine gritted her teeth. "That means we have to make these relationships serious, fast. One wrong move from those three and the whole operation will implode." Katherine stood up and ran a hand through her hair.
"Kitty Kat, calm down. You've got back up plans for a reason." He reminded her. She glanced back at him. It was nice to have a companion, even if it was just Kai. Katherine rolled her eyes as she made her way to the kitchen and pulled out a bottle of wine. She got a glass and filled it halfway. She handed the glass to Kai while keeping the rest of the bottle for herself. She took a swig but before she could get comfortable her phone rang. She let out an obnoxious groan. She wondered which of them it was this time. She groaned even louder when she spotted her sister's contact.
"What?" She snapped.
"Elijah wants to have dinner with Kol and Bonnie." Elena sounded panicked. Katherine looked at Kai who was trying to hold in his laughter. She flashed him a glare and he fake pouted in return.
"So have dinner with them. You don't know Bonnie and she doesn't know you." Katherine hung up and turned to her partner in crime. "Looks like you and I are going on a date."
