(Nick)

I was told to stay in the dorm rooms, and I saw that everyone else who had galaxies on their foreheads went to the giant sphere-looking building. It's a Superhuman only event, no humans are allowed to go in there, one of the fellow humans who was living in this dorm said to me.

I've never heard of something like this is school, and the other scientists assured me that I wasn't the only one. Most of the Human Population has no idea of this Superhuman custom as it was always kept classified by the government. The reason for that has always been unclear, however.

I sighed, looking to the orb thing, and turned it on. The hologram appeared and the news appeared, but there wasn't much going on the news however; it was all the same boring stuff. That's what I thought at least.

I looked away from it and looked at my phone, looking at Superhuman history when it appeared as a suggestion from Iris, and I looked at it. I was not surprised when I read the section on the Reds though, with their unethical experimentation.

I've heard a bunch of horror stories from ex-Red superlings who were rescued by the Blue sides, and what they told were truly heartbreaking. Tales of torture, forced starvation, maltreatment and abuse, and many other unthinkable acts.

The Superlings were dehumanized, just like the innocents in varies wars nowadays and all of those millennia ago and in between. Thousands of them died, only to be replaced by another victim; the dead long forgotten, and their families grieving as they were told from the beginning that they were never allowed to see their children again...

That was if they gave up their children willingly that was, the parents who fought to keep their children away from the corrupted Reds were killed mercilessly and their children taken by force. Neither had much of a choice in the matter.

Instant refuge was only available to those who lived in close proximity to the blue side, or blur territory as society called it. Unfortunately, the territory Blue's had is also quickly shrinking and being conquered by the might of the Red race.

The Reds have always done things that were more than questionable and unethical. We were also told that the Reds have done things that were worse than things thought in the story of the Russian Sleep Experiments from thousands of years ago.

Their Superhumans and Superlings were all mindless soldiers, melded to follow any and all commands no matter how extreme they were, even to kill without mercy. Which I have come to know that they were good at, just as the ones on that side of the government wanted.

Blues were the pacifists/neutralists, they were taught not to kill and try to create as little pain as possible when it came to fighting. The only fighting that was permitted was self-defense, and the Blues were also good at fighting as well as the Reds; it was just that the Reds lacked the empathy and hence were more murderous than their pacifistic counterparts.

The Blue race only made up less than 40% of the Superhuman population in today's time, and they were declining steadily every year.

The High Superhuman Authority, the high council of Superhumans and the first ones to have awakened, was also in harm's way of this to, they were all Blues. If the Reds overtook everything, this didn't mean just anarchy and corruption in the whole country, but this would also spread to the rest of the world.

Compared to the outside world, this campus looked like a paradise. This is what the Blues envision for the world: a world where the nation was free again, and where the people have voices to speak out once again.

After over hundreds of years of corruption, however, this prospect is growing more and more slim as the years go by and as their population declines.

America has almost no allies anymore, and the allies we do have don't keep in contact much due to hiding this fact from the other countries so they don't get in trouble for being involved with us.

America is officially isolated from the rest of the world, a hermit country, there is no going in or out of this country. There is no foreign aid to help us out of the anarchy we put ourselves into. We were completely on our own.

I got out my phone and turned on the hologram screen to text Quinn, Chase, and the others to see how things are outside of here. Other than watching my favorite show I was pretty bored, so I figured why not.

How are things going now? I texted to the group chat of people. They didn't respond for hours, and in that time I just watched my show.

Not very good, we all had to visit the hospital for radiation burns due to how close we were to Elana. How are you even still alive?! The government officials said you were in critical condition after you were taken to the hospital, Chase responded. I was confused.

I was never taken to the hospital, I snuck onto the van with Mia and now I'm at one of the Superhuman bases. I was given a checkup however, and I was diagnosed with the X-Gene immunity mutation. I was not harmed that much, I responded back. I noticed that Quinn hadn't responded yet, which was kind of weird. She was usually the first one to respond when Chase or I texted her.

What's Quinn doing? She hasn't texted yet, which is strange for her, I texted again. Chase seemed to hesitate to respond back, I just knew it.

She's... still at the hospital... Chase responded 10 minutes later. I check the text closely and this worried me. Something was clearly wrong.

Why? Did something happen to her? Is she okay?! I texted, wide eyed as my stomach seemed to clench as if my mind was screaming 'no idiot this isn't like her of course she's not okay!'.

After Elana awakened her body went catatonic, she was delusional, and she had a total of 5 seizures. 2 of them were severe enough that they almost killed her. Her parents haven't gotten any more information from the parents, but from what I could tell last time I saw her she was deep in a psychosis, Chase texted.

I went wide eyed at that moment. I knew Quinn suffered from epilepsy, but the psychosis and other stuff he mentioned didn't make any sense...

Something isn't right, my brain told me. Something is wrong here...
