Shadow PoV:

In Shadow's dream

I was in dark place. I didn't know if it was a room or emptyness. I was scared...

Suddenly, a light came behind me.

When I turned around, I saw my dearest old friend.

"Maria..."

She opened her arms and I ran to her and hugged her tightly. She always came to me when I feel really bad. She started to pet my head while I was crying.

"-what's happened Shadow?"

It's been a year that I stopped crying for her death, even if I missed her a lot. She knows when something is wrong with me.

"-someone raped me Maria! And Sonic left me alone in the middle of night! I don't even know why.... I was so scared....
-trust me, he did that to protect you...
-I don't even know if he's with me right now...
-he is..."

The dark place suddenly became Sonic's room. I looked around and saw Sonic on his bed, awake, and me, sleeping on him with tears running down my cheeks. He was petting my head, rubbing my back and kissing my forehead sometimes.

I cried again. Doubting on him.... I'm such an horrible boyfriend.

He would never lie to me...

"-he really loves you... I'm glad that you found someone who really does...
-I don't think that I deserve his love..."

She took me in her arms and smiled at me with her eternal lovable smile.

"-of course you do Shadow... Everyone deserve love. Especially you... You need to be loved... You are born to be loved... "

I hugged her tightly. I stopped crying and smiled at her.

"-I should wake up now...
-alright... See you soon Shadow..."

End of Shadow's dream

I woke up on Sonic.

"-morning Sweetheart... "

I kissed him as a 'good morning' and hugged him tightly.

"-I'm sorry Shadow... I shouldn't let you alone....
-it's okay Sonic..."

I saw tears in Sonic's eyes. I wiped them out and kissed him multiple times until his phone rang.

"-sorry, I gotta go...
-you need to eat first!
-not so much hungry..."

He goes up and put some clothes quickly. I grabbed his arm. I won't let him leave me without any explanation!

"-what's wrong with you?! Tell me! I'm worried about you.... First you had an headache, second you ran away in the middle of the night, third you didn't sleep of the night and now you are going somewhere without telling me where! If it's because of me, then tell me. I will leave you alone all the time you need....
-it's not that Shadow.....
-then what is it...?
-I'm doing this to protect you...
-I understand that but... Protecting me from what...?
-..... I am not ready to talk about that now... "

He cried again. I took him in my arms and kissed his cheek.

"I'll wait.... I will never let you down...."

He hugged me tightly.
