Final Chapter

Sonic PoV:

When the day rose, I took back the control of my body.

For the first time in years, I finally saw what the werehog was doing during the night....

I hugged Shadow tightly and cried. He took my head between his hands and smiled sweetly.

"Do..... Do you still love me....?"

Shadow approached my face against his and kissed me pationnelly. My eyes wide opened but I quickly kissed back.

We stayed like this for minutes before breaking the kiss for air.

Shadow hugged my chest and snuggled against it, listening to my heart beat. I petted his quills and smiled.

"-if didn't broke up with you.... Nothing of this would have happened.... I'm such a coward....

-no you're not Sweetheart.... You were scared and I'm not gonna lie to you.... I was scared of me too...."

He looked up at me, confused.

"-I was scared to hurt people.... And I did.... I badly hurted you and I regret it so much...! I so much want to go back in time and-"

I've been stopped by Shadow. He looked directly into my eyes.

"stop saying that you want to go back in the Past.... I forgave you.... I just can't forgive myself for I said to you.... But now, let just live in the present and think later about our future, okay...?"

I pressed my forehead against his and laughed a little.

"the only thing I want in the future, is to be with you forever...."

Everyone said that in union. A lot happened during the last months: Rouge and Knuckles are going to have a baby in three months, Amy and Blaze were an official couple since two months, Silver and Espio since four.... Everything was perfect!

I tried to see Shadow but.... He wasn't here....

"-Come on Sonic! It's time to open your presents!

-but where's Shadow?

Rouge pushed me to the table where was all the gifts. I had a lot of things, clothes, books, movies, a megadrive, videos games, etc....

After I opened all the presents, Rouge took my hand and dragged me upstairs.

"Shadow's present is inside your room, go get it!"

She then went back to the others.

When I opened the door of our room, I saw a big gift on the floor. It was way enough big to contain a person.

I opened it and Shadow jumped out and kissed me roughly. He was wearing a black and red leather pants with a lot of little silver chains on it, long black fingerless gloves and no top. We parted for air.

"-so, you're my gift~

Shadow put something in my hand. When I looked at it, I got surprised to see two rings, one was silver with a blue gem and around light pink gems, the other one was golden with a red gem and around black gems.

They were matching our fur colors...

I put the silver one and noticed that something was write on it.

'Will you'

Shadow was putting the golden one and he showed me what was written on his.

'Marry me'

I looked at Shadow with surprise and repeated what the rings were meaning.

"-'Will you marry me'??!

-oh, of course I will~"

I laughed after that. He got me! I slowly started to cry.

"-Sonic?! What's wrong?!

-it's Rouge, right? She's the one who told you that I wanted to propose you?

-yes... I wanted to propose you too... I thought that your birthday would be perfect for that.... But if you don't want to we can-

-No!! It's perfect! I'm crying from joy!! I want to marry you!!"

I kissed him roughly, making us fall on the bed. Shadow looked at me.

"-now, you got your gift fully~

-my Sweetheart, in a sexy outfit, in our bedroom, becoming my future husband.... I can't ask more~"

Suddenly, I heard the door locked and saw the key being pushed under the door.

"-...... Did you both got something else to do...?

-Well.... "

He took out a remote and pressed a button. The lights of the room became purple and a jazzy music started.

".... I think the others won't see us in a loooong time~..."

I then kissed him.

"-I love you Shadow....

-I love you too Sonic.... "
