Chapter 33

Shadow PoV:

I ran as fast as I could to Sonic's apartment.

When I finally arrived, I knocked freneticly hard at the door.

"SONIC!! SONIC!! SONIIIIIC!!!"

I didn't notice that Sonic's neighbors were around me, surprised and shocked to see me in a state like this.

"-sir? what's wrong?
-I need to go in there!! Something is going to happen to my ex!!"

One of them went to get the owner who came with a spare key if the apartment.

When the door was finally unlocked, I burst into the apartment.

I saw with horror Sonic stabbing himself with a knife.

"SONIC?!!"

He looked at me with dull eyes before falling on the ground, making the knife going deeper in his stomach.

I ran to him and shook him.

"Sonic!! Wake up!! Wake up please!!!"

I burst into tears when I saw that he wasn't waking up.

"It's okay sir! I called an ambulance!"

I hugged him tightly, feeling guilty. It was my fault! He told me that he couldn't live without me! Now he is dying in my arms because of me!!

I sighed in relief when I heard the ambulance.

Sonic has been taken in reanimation. I was in the waiting room crying all the tears of my body.

I so much want to be in his arms right now... To be by his side... I still so much love him! I was such a fool when I told him that I wanted to break up!

I waited a long hour before a doctor came to me.

"-he is alive but... He won't wake up for now... He's in a smole coma, he would wake in one or two weeks...
-May I see him....?"

He nodded and gave me the number of his room.

When I entered, Sonic seemed to sleep, but he wasn't...

He has an oxygen machine and an infusion.

I sat next to him and cried for a while, blaming myself.

Three hours later, it was raining when a nurse came in.

"-sir, the visits are finished...
-please... Let me stay with him...
-I'm sorry but we can't let you here..."

She tried to grab my arm but I resisted and hit her in defense.

The nurse called the security and two guards grabbed me. Suddenly a thunder began.

Then I saw something.

The shadows of the guards and the nurse were on the wall behind us.

But mine was in front of Sonic...

The guards started to drag me out of the room.

"no! NO!! HE'S GOING TO KILL HIM!! I HAVE TO STAY WITH HIM!! LET ME GO!!"

I couldn't take it anymore and let my chaos energy go, knocking out the guards.

I burst into the room to saw what the person that I didn't want to see again.

"Mephiles!!"

The demon was approaching Sonic, ready to kill him.

He smiled evily at me.

"It's nice to see you again Shadow..."

I jumped on him and we started to fight.

I was hitting his face while he was trying to strangle me. I tried to use my chaos energy again but he evaporated.

Suddenly, the window opened and I felt that he grabbed my quills.
