The wedding flowed smoothly in the reception that moved quickly into the meal and speeches, which, slowly turned into dancing and a party.
For Roman, it all passed as a blur as she moved in a happy daze on cloud nine. She was just happy to be married to them both that she didn't care about what was happening around her.
Being spun around by Edward as Bella sat to the side speaking with Angela and some of the Denali cousins, she couldn't imagine anything better than this moment.
The switch in his grip was the only warning she got as he lifted her, twirling her around his body easily and catching her easily against his hip -- grin mischievous as he smiled up at her. She bit her lip, sucking on it from between her teeth.
Her fingers curl sharply into his shoulder as he twirls her back and it's a miracle that her legs stay sturdy beneath her as she catches herself and spins out. He tugs her back, holding her to his chest as he reaches up and tugs her lip loose, thumb lingering.
"Don't bite your lip, Mrs. Elders-Cullen," he chided, swaying her gently with the change in tempo.
The name seems her heart racing. "There are certain times when Bella doesn't mind my biting, you know," she breathes, flickering to the completely unawares girl.
His hold on her waist tightens. "Such a minx for a married woman."
Roman hums, hands moving up to play with the hairs at the back of his neck. "Oh, but what will my husband think of such a thing," she teases, beaming when he laughs brightly.
"The question you should be asking is what will your blushing wife think?"
"The beautiful Swan-Cullen?"
"The very same."
"Why don't we ask the wonderful lady?" Roman asks, backing both of them up until he grabs her and hoists her in his arms as he walks toward Bella.
She squeals, clinging to his shoulders and waving to those that turned to see what they were up to.
She knew that there were plenty of people in town with plenty of things to say about their relationship, that many had their reservations, but it still warmed her heart that they put all that aside just to be here to share in the celebration with them.
More so, it meant a lot to her that Sam and Emily had managed to drag Paul and Jared to the wedding and had managed to get them dressed well. She knew how they all felt about the Cullen's and how they all knew that a breach in the treaty was coming -- especially with how often that Roman had spoken about it in an attempt to prepare them for it.
They expressed their opinions with various degrees of emotions that had only recently been made to the point where they agreed that they didn't have to be happy about it but they could let it slide.
It wasn't as though it was against their will. It was something that they very much wanted no matter what arguments they made against it.
Bella perks as they approach. "Hey," she says, voice light and open. "What are you both talking about?"
"How terrible I am," Roman grins, squeaking when he pinches her hip gently.
"We are simply speaking of how dearly we wish our wife would join us for a dance," Edward says, holding out a hand to Bella without putting Roman down.
Angela pushed on the other girl, urging her to get up and dance while one of the cousins, Tanya she believed, told her to enjoy some time with her husband and wife. Roman beamed at the new title. She would never get over how much she enjoyed hearing it.
