(Carter's POV)
When I woke up everything was fuzzy. My vision cleared and I found myself in my bedroom. When I looked down I saw I was wearing a dark grey hoodie covered in blood. I squealed and threw the sweatshirt on the ground. I ran to the bathroom and stared at my face in horror. Dried blood caked the side of my neck and went up my left cheek. I grabbed a rag and scrubbed my face. When I finished my face looked good as new, besides the red mark from the rag. I hopped down the stairs to find a note on the island.

Carter,

I got the job! Woo-hoo! But you were still asleep so I had to go. I'll be back at about five!

Jessie

I grabbed a cookie for my breakfast since Jessie wasn't here to tell me otherwise.

"Hello!" Someone called.

It scared me so bad I started to choke on my cookie.

"I want cookies!" A high pitched voice screamed.

Sally ran past me and tore open the container. I spit the chocolate chip cookie into the trash can and walked to Sally's side.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I saw Johnny while I was walking down the street and he said he was coming here so I wanted to come too," Sally explained.

"Johnny? As in, Johnny Ghost?" I asked.

"Yeah, he's over in the other room I think," Sally said with a mouthful of cookies.

I left Sally to stuff her face and walked into the living room. Johnny was sadly looking at a picture frame. I put my hand on his shoulder causing him to jump.

"Oh, I-I'm sorry," Johnny stuttered. "I was just looking at this photo. Are these your parents?"

I looked down at the picture. Jessie was four and was sitting on my dad's shoulders in the park. My mom was hugging my dad and kissing his cheek, while the three year old me sat on the ground with a doll in my mouth.

"Yeah," I said quietly.

"I'm sorry," Johnny said. "About what happened to your parents."

"It's okay. It's not like it was your fault." I shrugged.

Johnny seemed crestfallen as he set the photo down. He sat down on the couch and rested his feet on the coffee table.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"What? I can't just come over to hang out?" Johnny asked.

"Not really, the last--and first--time you talked to me you were threatening me," I said. "And one question, why do you look so much like Jimmy Casket."

"I don't look like Jimmy Casket," Johnny quickly said.

"Yeah, the only difference is your eye color. You can be twins! And your names are similar too!" I said.

"I'm not related to Jimmy Casket," Johnny stated. "and I wasn't threatening you. I was trying to help keep you safe."

"I'm not sure stalking me is keeping me safe," I said. "How did you find out where I lived anyways? And how did you know id be at Starbucks yesterday? And how did you know about the deal?"

Johnny just shook his head. "You seem to be better today."

"And you seem to be avoiding my questions," I accused.

Johnny was just looking into the distance as though he were lost in his own thoughts. I snapped my fingers in front of his face. He blinked a few times and his eyes turned the color red. He gave me a big smile.

"Hey there!" Johnny said in an insane voice.

"Jimmy? How? But Johnny? What?" I asked.

"Don't tell anyone," Jimmy whispered then started laughing.

"Tell them what? That Johnny goes can turn into Jimmy Casket and change his eye colors?" I asked. "They'll think I'm crazy."

"You get used to people saying that." Jimmy shrugged.

I backed up from where Jimmy sat on the couch and into the table where the picture was.

"I'm not the crazy one here," I said. "Sally!"

Sally walked into the room with a half a cookie in her hand.

"Cookie!" Jimmy shouted.

He tried to take the cookie from her but Sally slapped him before he could.

"Did you know Johnny Ghost can turn into Jimmy?" I asked.

"Yeah," Sally said, finishing off the cookie.

"You better not tell anyone or else you'll be having a conversation with Knifey," Jimmy warned.

"Is this just like extreme bipolar disease or something?" I asked.

"A little more complicated than that," Jimmy said. "I kind of like, live in his mind and control his body every now and then."

"And you only start controlling him if you want to start killing people?" I asked.

"Or if I Johnny is hurt or feels threatened," Jimmy explained. "Or if I just want to come out. Like right now. It took so long to finally convince him. And by convince, I mean force."

"You forced him to let you control?" I asked. "Why right now? You scare me more than he does."

"Because I wanted to come out," Jimmy pouted. "And I'm taking that last part as a compliment."

"I thought Ghost and Toast had a job today," Sally said.

"Toast said they could do it later," Jimmy said.

"What do you mean toast?" I asked. "Why are you talking about a piece of bread?"

"Toast isn't bread!" Sally and Jimmy burst out laughing. "He's a person!"

"A person named Toast?" I wondered.

"His names actually Johnny Toast," Sally explained. "He's partners with Johnny Ghost."

"That must be confusing," I joked.

"Not really," Sally admitted.

"And Johnny Toast, is he also a murderer?" I asked

"Toast? A murderer?" Jimmy laughed. "he's far from one. He's a British guy. But actually deadly. If he ever does the British disco then run, run as fast as you can."

"British disco? That sounds like a dance little kids do." I laughed.

Sally and Jimmy looked at eachother then back at me.

"It's worse," Sally whispered.

"Um, okay," I mumbled. "Why are you guys here in the first place."

"Johnny wanted to come over," Jimmy said.

"Why?" I asked.

"I'm not sure." Jimmy shrugged. "Johnny just keeps mumbling."

"You're talking to him? Right now?" I questioned.

"Yep! In my head!" Jimmy chirped.

"S-so he's like in your head?" Jimmy nodded. "That's creepy!"

"Not really," Jimmy said.

I heard a car door slam shut outside.

"Uh-oh, Jessie's home," I said.
