(Carter's POV)
Sally is coming over tomorrow, and I don't have any waffles. I put on a mint green high waisted skirt and a black v-neck shirt, which I tucked in. Going into the bathroom, I quickly pulled my hair back into a braid. I put on a silver necklace that had my horoscope on it, a pair of black flats, then hopped out the door. The night air was hot and humid. Luckily I braided my hair or else my hair would be frizzy from its thickness.

I started off towards the closest store that was still open. It was late but I knew Sally would kill me if she came over and I didn't have waffles. I just hope it's not literally. The suburban streets were empty besides the occasional car that passed by.

As I walked my mind started to wander. I found myself thinking of Jimmy and Johnny. They were both really fun to be around. Not to mention that they're kind of cute. I immediately shook the thoughts from my head. Are you the insane one now, Carter? I wondered.

I walked into the small store and headed straight towards the frozen section. I grabbed a pack is waffles and turned around, crashing right into someone.

"Watch where you're going!" A high pitched voice yelled.

"Sorry," I mumbled. "Didn't see you."

"Didn't see me? How can you miss this?" She asked.

The girl was about my age with long blonde hair and light green eyes. She had on a pair of black denim shorts, a black and neon pink crop top bustier, and pink pumps.

"Frozen waffles?" She sneered. "Do you know how many calories are in those?"

"I don't really care," I said.

I brushed past her but stopped when I heard he next words. "I guess that would explain your body."

"Excuse me?" I asked. "At least I don't look like a freaking twig. And I am very happy with my body. Now, if you'll excuse me I need to pay for my friends waffles."

I tried to control my anger as I turned and stormed off. After paying for the food I went out into the dark. The air was even more humid and I felt the back of my neck get sticky. I tried to brush it off as I started back towards my house.

I was still fuming over the girl at the store when there was a bright light. I blinked a couple times when a loud sound rang my and shook the ground slightly. Rain started to pour down, drenching me within seconds. I heard Michigan weather was unpredictable but this was just outrageous. The temperature seemed to drop ten degrees and the wind picked up.

I shivered and started walking a little faster, gripping the shopping bag tighter. The rain was coming down so hard I couldn't see two feet ahead of me and I had to try to wipe my face off every five seconds. I kept going faster until I felt a hard tug on my neck. I choked and stumbled backwards into a chest. He still grabbed my necklace tight as he pulled out a gun.

"Give me your money!" He ordered.

I had spent all the money I brought with me on the waffles.

"I... don't have... any money," I gasped.

He pulled the necklace around my neck even tighter causing me to choke.

"That's a lie!" He yelled. "Give it to me!"

"Help!" I screamed but it was drowned out by a loud crack of thunder.

(Jimmy's POV)
I smiled at my next victim. She had blond hair and was wearing black shorts with a neon pink crop top.

"P-please mercy!" She begged.

I laughed at how pathetic she was. I stepped closer until she was backed up against the wall.
