(Jimmy's POV)
I held my knife up to threaten the man before me. He frantically opened the cash register and dropped all the money into the bag in my left hand."That's all I have! I swear!" The man said, backing up into the shelf behind him.
"Do you want to know my secret?" I asked in a high pitched voice.
Before he could answer I jumped the counter and ran my knife across his throat. It wasn't Knifey but I had to make this kitchen knife work for now. His limp body fell to the ground, quickly forming a puddle of blood and filling the room with a metallic smell.
'Do you always have to kill then after you rob them?' Johnny asked.
It would be boring if I didn't! I exclaimed. I let out a loud cackle then ran outside into the alleyway behind the convenient store.
'If only Carter were here, then you wouldn't be so crazy' Johnny sighed.
My smile faltered a bit at the sound of her name but I quickly recovered. Grabbing the bottom corners of the bag I tipped it over and dropped the money onto the ground.
'Why can't you just take the money out with your hand?' Johnny asked.
I ignored him and sat Indian style, grabbing the money before it could blow away. I added up all the amounts, totaling to two hundred and sixty four dollars.
'Only eight thousand seven hundred and forty-six dollars left' Johnny said.
How many days? I asked.
'You've only got three days left' Johnny stated.
You have got to be kidding me, I said.
'I wish. Remember Carter's on the line here' he reminded me for the hundredth time.
I know that! You don't have to keep saying it! I yelled.
'Okay, okay. Don't need to get your panties in a twist. What did you spend the money on anyways?' Johnny asked calmly.
A drink, I replied.
'A drink?! How in the world do you spend ten thousand dollars on a drink?!' Johnny yelled.
I did spend all ten thousand. Only like eight thousand. And it's this one cocktail thing called Calabrese that everyone said was really good so I wanted to try it. I got the money from the company that we're trying to pay back right now, I explained.
'Two questions. One; why did you take money from such a dangerous group of people, and two; where's the other two thousand dollars?' Johnny asked.
One; they were the first wealthy people I thought of. Two; I lost it, I said, trying to hold back my giggles.
'You lost two thousand dollars?! How is that even possible?!' He yelled.
I don't know. I had it one second then the next it was gone, I said.
'Oh my gosh. Why does this have to be my life?' Johnny mumbled.
You're stuck with me, I said.
Johnny let out a sigh then paused. 'let's go. We don't have a lot of time left.'
But I wanna go see Carter! I whined.
'Tell you what, if you can get at least one thousand five hundred dollars today then tonight you can go see her' Johnny offered.
Deal! I cheered.
(Carter's POV)
I pushed myself off the couch when someone knocked on the front door. I unlocked it then found Sally on my doorstep. She was bouncing from foot to foot with excitement.
