PART 21
EXT. FOREST NEAR ATHENS - DAY
They come to the part where the trees end, and it overlooks Athens. It looks like a ghost town. Only a few large puddles are the only thing left but water damage can be seen on almost every building, no person is out.
Olympus is just as bad. Scorch marks have made it to the cloud now, as most of the buildings have been destroyed.
Zeus' chariot can be seen by the temple of Athena. Along with other chariots.
Athena spots it, and points.
Athena
There. We go there.
EXT. aTHENA'S TEMPLE - DAY
They get closer to the temple. The gods are standing in a semi cirle with Zeus on Athena's throne, the statue has been destroyed. Athena pauses and turns to address the group.
Athena
I have to be honest, I am not sure what we are about to walk into. If trouble occurs, just be ready.
The others nod. She begins to walk again.
They can hear Zeus' voice they are so close. Athena places a hand on Agathe's shoulder. She then points to outside and behind the temple.
Athena
Go and wait out there for me. Oswald.
Oswald
Yes, ma'am?
Athena
Try and get them on the roof.
Athena leaves them and walks inside the temple. Oswald puts his hand on the ground and Adonis and Agathe get on it. All the chatter inside stops. The sun is setting.
INT. ATHENA'S TEMPLE
Athena stands there with all gods looking at her. Zeus moves uneasily in his chair.
Zeus
Meeting adjourned.
All the gods nod back and walk out of the temple, they get in their chariots and leave, flying to Olympus.
Zeus(CONT'D)
Good to see you, Athena. I thought I made it clear you weren't to be involved with this until we clean it up a bit.
Athena
I know I know, I'm sorry. I just need to know the plan, please. These are my people.
Zeus
Which is exactly why you don't need to hear this.
Athena
I deserve to know.
Zeus breathes in deeply and exhales.
Zeus
It will only hurt you.
Athena looks discouraged.
Zeus(CONT'D)
I will be honest with you. Me and the other gods have decided to start over here.
Athena startles back a little.
Athena
Please tell me you have a different interpretation of starting over.
Zeus pauses.
Zeus
The rest of the gods were hesitant, too but everyone seemed to get on board.
Athena
There are families that live here.
Zeus
New families will replace those.
Athena
They deserve to live, they can still live a quality life even after Poseidon's freak attack.
Zeus
The only problem I had with Poseidon's raid, was that it accomplished so little. Everyday these people stray further and further from me. They can't be saved. Why should they continue to use our resources?
Athena is stunned from what her king is saying.
ZEUS(CONT'D)
Now, I don't blame you for these cretins, but I can. If you continue to see it from their lens, I will have no choice.
Still silence. Zeus stands up, a huge, thundering prescience. He picks up a huge sword from the arm of the chair.
Zeus(CONT'D)
Shall I alert the gods you are on board? Or should they never hear from you again?
Athena grabs her shield closer to her body. Her spear as well.
Zeus chuckles loudly and swings his sword. A lightning blast shoots from the other end. It hits Athena's shield as she gets it up, just in time. It glows blue from the energy absorbed but Athena is unaffected. She jumps to the side and throws her spear at Zeus, he knocks it away with his sword. Athena charges Zeus, shield outstretched. He sidesteps and she falls. She rolls over and picks up her spear. Zeus charges at her and swings his sword at her. It misses her as she rolls out of the way, but the sword slices the spear in half. He begins to charge up the sword again. His energy is drained significantly, and it shows. He flings a lightning bolt at Athena and she barely blocks it once again. Both are showing fatigue,
Oswald runs inside the temple and attacks Zeus.
Agathe drops down from the roof and picks up Athena.
Zeus is overpowered for a moment but soon he regains his strength and punches Oswald so hard, he flies through one of the pillars. The ceiling collapses as Adonis and the rest of the roof fall in quickly.
