"Good evening gentlemen," Pierre said as he shared a handshake with both Adel and Drake. "Where would you like to sit today?"

"We're hoping upstairs. I know we didn't make a reservation today," Drake said and Pierre just nodded.

"That's absolutely fine. Rosa can you get two Peach Paradise's on me for table 8 and can you open a tab for Mr. Graham please," He asked the waitress as she passed by them. "And would you two like to follow me,"

He led them up the stairs of the restaurant and up onto the balcony area as they shared small talk, and once they were seated he left them be.

"The weather is lovely today," Adel pointed out, as he looked at the beach view they had.

"Yeah summer is definitely here," Drake commented.

"So talk to me, tell me what the situation is. Tell me how you're feeling," Adel encouraged, wanting his friend to take a moment to vent.

He just sighed, and took the moment to just think as the waitress brought over their first round of drinks. "You know what, if I'm being completely honest, I'm kind of confused if anything," he said. "I don't understand what I did wrong, like I did everything I possibly could you know and apparently that's not enough,"

"Sometimes that's just the way. And I know it doesn't make any sense, but it is. Trust me I've been there," he said bringing light to a situation he had buried. "But you learn from it and you move on. On the plus side, she doesn't want to leave you so there's room for you to work,"

"How do you know that? What if the reason she hasn't come back from this sabbatical is because she's decided she wants to be separated,"

"Not that its my place, but I heard the words come out of her mouth a few days ago when she spoke to Courtne. She loves you man, she's literally just going through some things she doesn't understand," He explained and stopped as the waitress came over to take their food orders.

Drake looked past Adel as he made his order only to land his eyes on the woman they were talking about. He watched as another man pulled out her chair and they both got seated at a table on the other side of the balcony.

"And for you sir?" the waitress asked and Drake fell out of his glare. He placed his order with a gentle tone and returned his focus to Adel as she walked away.

"You were saying?" he asked and Adel furrowed his brows a little.

"You good? You look like you've seen your worst enemy?" he asked and Drake just shook it off. "Well I was saying that she just wants a little more from you, she just wants you to be the guy you used to be,"

"I'm not that guy anymore," he said. "I'm beyond that phase in my life now. I'm a better man. I'm the man I want my girls to marry,"

"You can be both. You can be that man and the man she fell in love with. You and I both know that your relationship was full of fire. Y'all were at each other's throats for all the right reasons constantly and it worked for you. Fair enough around the girls that's not how you wanna be, but you can be Zen Drake all the time," he explained, causing Drake to chuckle. "She clearly likes the side of you that has men scared to look in her direction,"

"You make a good point," he responded. "So what you're telling me is she wants me to get riled up, she wants a fight,"

"Kind of, take that with a grain of salt. More so she wants you to fight for her,"

Drake nodded. "Hmm... okay," he picked up his drink and sipped it through the straw as he looked through the menu for what he would have next...

A few drinks and a meal later and the pair were laughing at videos they had come across on instagram. The sun was just starting to set and the atmosphere was perfect for what had been a good evening. He had almost forgotten that he was subconsciously spying on the pair across the balcony; that was until he heard her laugh.
