"Aubrey you're supposed to be helping and if you don't intend to then I won't be going tonight," she said as she took off the dress she had just tried on and went back into her closet to pick another one.
"I couldn't decide if I preferred it or not," he said with a chuckle as he returned to the text message he was typing in response to his girlfriend who was also sending him pictures of the dresses she was trying on for the evening ahead. "Besides you have to come tonight, its not a choice,"
"It sure as hell is. This double date was your stupid idea and you and I both know if I decided not to go Jahron wouldn't ask twice," she said as she stepped out of the closet holding an orange mini dress and stood infront her mirror as she held it against her body.
"Put it on," he instructed and she was ready to give him a slick remark but instead settled for doing as he asked. "I like that one,"
She modelled the dress in the mirror and decided she liked it too. "You think he'll like it?" She asked as she bit her lip.
"He had better,'' Drake said as he stood from her bed and walked over to her to place a kiss on her temple. "Anyway," he started as he began picking up the dresses that hadn't made the cut and putting them back on their hangers. "We've got exactly 2 and a half hours from now before we should be heading out and from what I remember you're getting ready at Jahron's house. So I suggest packing up and being on your way because knowing how you two are I don't wanna have to move the table booking cause y'all decided to do things,"
She kissed her teeth and hit him with the dress she was holding causing him to laugh. "Well go home then,"
"I'm leaving," he gave back, still laughing as he picked up his phone from her bed. "I'll see you later baby," he walked over to her and kissed her temple one more time and headed towards her bedroom door.
"Lala told you to stop calling me that," she said of his girlfriend who wasn't at all fond of their friendship but tolerated it for his sake.
"And Jahron wouldn't like you changing in front of me, but what they don't know won't hurt them right?" And with that he was gone and on his way to prep for their double date, later that evening...
Nicki sat on the bed and allowed Jahron to fasten the buckles of her shoes around her ankles. "I've never been to this place, is it good?" he asked of the restaurant they were going to.
"Drake said they do nice food, I've never been there myself but he said the atmosphere is nice so I think it could be a good night,"
"I'll trust you on that one," he placed a kiss on her knee before standing up and taking her hand and pulling her up also. "You look lovely," he stated and tucked a strand of her straightened hair behind her ear.
"Thank you baby. You look extremely sexy yourself," she said as her eyes scanned over his facial features, watching as he bit his lip. "But we have a date to get to so let's go,"
He chuckled as she detached from him and picked up her purse heading for the door...
"It's so lovely for us all to finally be able to get together," Lala said as they took their seats and began scanning through the menus. "You guys are always so busy we were lucky to be able to book you," she added, causing them to laugh.
"Yeah well between all the travelling and studio time it's really difficult to find moments where I can squeeze you all in," he said and Nicki quickly followed it with a 'Pauz'. Although the statement seemed like a light hearted joke, the other members at the table knew it was a jab at the other male party who had once wanted to pursue a music career.
"Anyway, what's everyone ordering? Drake what do you recommend?" Nicki asked, changing the subject to avoid building tension at the table.
"Depends on what we're doing, are we doing three course? Two course? How hungry are people?" He asked as he refreshed his memory of the list of foods. "Their starters are better than the desserts so I recommend starters if we're doing two,"
