Nicki placed her hand on his cheek gently raking her nails through his beard as she gazed into his eyes. She gave a small smile as he placed a kiss into the palm of her hand.

"Are you sure you don't wanna take the interview with me?" He asked knowing this was the first interview since they'd announced their relationship and it was bound to be riddled with questions about just that.

She shook her head. "You got it Papi," she said in a soft tone and he smiled. "Just remember what we talked about." She tied the drawstring of his hoodie into a bow as she enjoyed having him to herself despite the setting. They stood in the foyer of the 'Beats One' studio as they waited for them to finish setting up. He had come to LA specifically for this interview but found he could kill two birds by taking her home with him once he was done.

"They're ready," Chubbs said to the pair, pulling them out of their trance. Drake placed his hand on her lower back and walked with her into the studio. After greeting Zane, she took a seat opposite the console, keeping herself completely out of camera view.

"You don't even want to drop in for a couple of questions or story time?" Zane asked as he looked over at her from where he stood.

"It's not about me, and besides he's very much capable of telling you what you need to know," she said with a smile.

"Whatever you say, but before we get started, I gotta ask what's off limits," Zane asked, not wanting to step on any toes.

"The boys. We don't like the media talking about them too much so we'd rather not give them the opportunity to. Aside from that you can ask anything," Drake said and Zane's smile grew.

"Remember you said that," He said, getting comfortable in his chair and preparing to start his interview...

"... Its been a minute since we got an album from Drake, what made you spend so much time on this one?" Zane asked and Drake sat back a little and rocked his chair from side to side as he thought. "I mean I know they say you can't rush perfection but we're talking to the same guy who dropped 3 solid projects in 13 months,"

Drake chuckled. "I was in a very different space then, and I was just having fun. My music tends to mirror my personal life and I guess where I was- where I am personally just couldn't be rushed," he looked over at Nicki who was busy typing away on her phone. "For this album I had a much bigger muse, and I gotta say she's a perfectionist like me so I had to take my time. I wanted everything a certain way." She looked up at him and caught his gaze, encouraging him to smile.

"A muse," Zane repeated as he watched the pair. "Is this the same muse we saw on your instagram the other night," he asked and Drake laughed.

"I don't know what you're talking about," He gave back, but couldn't hide the ear to ear grin.

"Previous engagements, For all the times you thought about it but never did," Zane quoted from his notes. "She wore the infamous previous engagement necklace," he stated and Drake nodded.

"She did,"

"And which one of those rings, if any, was once hers?" Zane asked.

"All of them," he said simply with a shrug and Zane couldn't hold back his laugh. Nicki on the other hand gave an eye roll as she sat back watching her man in his element.

"And I don't doubt it. But what changed?" he asked. "We've seen a lot from both of you recently and it's beautiful, but we all wanna know what changed?"

He sat up a little and played with the strap of his watch. "Timing is everything." He said as he thought. "And I think everyone of those times that it didn't happen, the timing wasn't right,"
