What hotel are you staying at? - Nicki
The message came through as a banner interrupting his search for the playlist that would fill the silence of his hotel suite whilst he got ready. He had managed to get a message from her earlier that day confirming their arrangements which was more than he had got from her over the last 48 hours and it was definitely a start.
Four Seasons. I don't mind coming to get you. -Drake
He watched as the message changed from delivered to read and the three dots appeared before they disappeared again. When they reappeared a simple message followed and he chuckled knowing there was no way she would have agreed to it.
That won't be necessary. I'll see you in there at 7. - Nicki
He sighed and plugged his phone in, leaving it to charge as he went and got in the shower being he didn't have too long before she would be arriving and expecting him ready...
He stood in front of his mirror debating what he wanted to pair with the dark grey trousers with, when his phone vibrated on the side draw indicating the new message.
I'm in the lobby. - Nicki
It was only then that he noticed how far behind the phone call he had ended up on had put him.
Come up. Sorry I'm behind. -Drake
Just got to reception, tell them you're here to see Mr. Graham and they'll give you a key. -Drake
Knowing she wouldn't take lightly to having to wait, he took the quick option of putting on a black turtleneck that he tucked in and secured with the Gucci belt before he went to find his shoes. By the time they were on, he was hearing the click of the door closing. He stepped out from the bedroom to greet her and was instantly speechless at how beautiful she looked.
"Wow," he said a little above a whisper and she was taken back to the first time she met him all over again. All these years later and he still didn't fail to make her shy. "Sorry. How are you?" he asked, finally remembering how to form sentences.
"Good," she said softly as her arms took their place wrapping around her body, showing her slight discomfort in the unfamiliar setting.
"I'm almost done, just let me grab my jacket and we can go." He gave her a small smile that she returned, before he headed to grab his jacket, putting his wallet, key card and phone in his pocket before picking a small diamond chain and watch from the drawer to accessorise.
He picked up the rose that he'd hand picked earlier that day from the vanity table and was at last ready to leave.
"This is for you." He handed her the rose and she smiled, giving him a thank you as he led them out of the room and down to the Maybach that was waiting for them.
She looked around the car and chuckled causing him to look over at her.
"What's up?" he asked with a small smile.
"You live a life of luxury now Mr. Graham," she said, causing him to also laugh.
"Something like that. I had to get my money up if I was ever going to have you come back," he said, reminding her of the time she left him for another man.
"I was never coming back, and I'm still not." She focused her attention on the petals of the rose that she was now holding to distract her.
"Why?" he questioned softly and she shook her head.
