Aside from the the outburst earlier in the day, the rest of the time in the throne room was productive. The judges conducted the trials as Hades and Persephone read over the scrolls of people's lives. Hades would make a definitive choice on the soul and where it belonged, letting the trial play out to see if the soul deserved somewhere else based on attitude, and Persephone would either sign her name at the bottom to confirm the choice, or she would dispute it. Her voice was always heard though, and sometimes she would telepathically tell Hades what his choose should be before even he realized the right one.

Each scroll had to contain both their signatures for the souls to leave the throne room. While Persephone was always there to help Hades in winter, in summer she usually would only be able to go through a couple 1000 souls, the scrolls always appearing on her bed in her mother's house, leaving the rest up to Hades.

Around the 5th hour of the evening when Persephone was starting to notice her hunger, and her patients was growing thin, Hades called for a stop.

Oh thank goodness I could eat a cow.-Persephone

I know I can hear your belly making noises from here- Hades

As the two figures rose from there thrones, the throne room was emptied, the trumpets of the demon guards sounding.

Hades led Persephone to the dining room where the feast had been the other night, the meal already steaming on the table. Instead of sitting at either heads of the table, the couple sat across form each other on the left and right side of the table. As two shades came up to serve them, Persephone waved them away though, "not today please just the king and I".

"Oh?" Hades raised and eyebrow, "want me all to yourself"

Persephone rolled her eyes, "it's not alway about sex. Although I do want to discuss a heated topic with you." As she said this Persephone took off her crown and set it next to her plate, the shades having left now.

"And what may I ask is so heated?" Hades leaned in serving himself from the array of food.

"Tartarus"

Hades stopped, and set his tongs down, "and what about Tartarus?"

"I want to go there, for a visit, for your annual visit" Persephone who had been thinking about the fire pit had wanted to ask Hades last night about it but had forgotten in the heat of the moment.

Hades went once a year to visit Tartarus, and to keep everything in check, he would check on the Titian's and oversee the punishments he had handed down. He would also check on the guards to make sure that they were fortified and not loosing strength. The trip was nessesary to keep everything in balance in the underworld. Hades however had previously planned the trip while Persephone was in Summer, always leaving the care of the kingdom to Heceta, with a direct line to Persephone in case a ruler was needed.

"How did you know that I had not conduct my visit yet?"

"Minos asked me why there was no record of your visit last night when I danced with him, during the quartet."

Hades frowned a little, "Minos needs to mind his own business."

"Well the balance of the underworld is part of his business, and your also skirting around my request." Persephone stoped eating now as she sat a little straiter, knowing that Hades didn't like this topic.

"And your not going to let this go?" Hades asked his eyes glinting a little off of the blue lights of the torches.

"No" Persephone stood her ground her fist tightly wound around her fork.

"Vary well my queen, it shall be as you wish. And my how you have changed from whence you first came to my kingdom" Hades looked at Persephone as he remembered there first meal together in the underworld.
