One week later,
Sangeeta noticed that Shreya had been super busy with her assignments and presentations. Maybe it was tiring for her, and maybe she still could not manage to adjust with her officemates.

On the other hand, Shreya was not at all happy with her job. People were very weird there and especially that boss and Shivam. But she could not tell her friend one particular thing.

That Saurav also worked at the same company, same building and same block as Shreya was doing. She wanted to tell her about this.

"Sangeeta!", She called , "umm.. I saw someone at my office, today, I mean I saw him yesterday too."

Sangeeta was doing the dishes and she paused at her words. "Whom?" She politely asked.

"It's Him. Saurav. " Shreya told her being a little hesitant.
"Can we talk about it Sangeeta? "

Sangeeta sighed silently. Then she took sometime and started.
"He was my childhood best friend. But we don't talk anymore. Things are not good now".

"What happened between you two? ", Shreya patiently asked.

" He proposed me."

"What!!", Shreya was a bit surprised.
"But you told us that he had a girlfriend."

"He never had. He just dated some girls. And he lied to everyone that he had one girlfriend. He liked me since we were in the school, but he never wanted to break the friendship. But I could see the affection for me in his eyes. And just after the college ended, he proposed me ", She sighed.

She continued, " but Shreya, you know me! I could never think of him as anything else other than my bestie. How could I have put him in the position of my boyfriend! That was ---- that was awkward... I couldn't......"

Shreya understood. Sangeeta had been a superb friend but about relationships, she is not that good.

"Is that why you people don't have any connection now? Because of that proposal? ". Sangeeta looked at Shreya. She frowned.
"I mean, you two,the best friends, didn't talk to each other just to avoid awkwardness.. that's more weird. ", Shreya huffed.

"Actually, I was a little rude with him after he had proposed me. I regret being so rude with him. I wanted to say sorry. But couldn't. " , Sangeeta's voice was genuine.

"But it was not all my fault!!! He should have understood that it was difficult for me to make my best friend, my boyfriend. He just kept pressuring me that he would be good to me and all", Sangeeta sounded a little annoyed.

"Then I think you should talk to him.", Shreya suggested.
"Maybe later.. ", Sangeeta was not sure about this.
"But tell me one thing, is everything okay in your office? I mean you look a little ..... "

"Umm no! Not everything! Actually nothing is right. I barely have a friend there. The boss is very rude. And... "

"And? ", Sangeeta asked.

" I have developed a crush on someone! "

Sangeeta turned around. "Again??"

Well that was not a new thing. Shreya was never consistent. She could never commit. All she did, was having crushes on people. "Who's it this time?", Sangeeta asked with a tease in her tone.

Shreya made a pout and answered, " I didn't ever want to have a crush on someone this much arrogant and impolite... But.... Ughh I feel pity on myself." She huffed.

" I asked who's he? ", Sangeeta was serious this time.

" Shivam Avasthi. He is a senior in the workplace but yeah, he's my same age.
But I'll be over it. Don't worry. I'll be over it before this feeling develops to anything else. "

Sangeeta nodded, but couldn't trust her words. She knew Shreya. She was the stupid person who fell for someone in the past too and couldn't move on for a long time span.

Sangeeta changed the topic. " Today I heard one of your BTS songs..... " . Okay! That was enough to divert Shreya's attention.

"Which one????", She jumped on her friend.

" I don't know, some thing called make it right... I liked the hook .. it was I can make it right, alright!! ", And she smiled.

A small chuckle left Shreya's lips.
And the next moment she started singing the song with jumbled up Korean lyrics...

Sangeeta sighed, "as expected! "

The only one who recognized me......

The next Monday at office:

"Miss Bhaduri, if you don't know how things work here, you should leave this place. Time is time. You're getting late everyday. And it's not like that you're doing great on your assignments too.."

Shreya was being scolded by the boss. And guess who's his favorite employee! She thought.

"Mr. Avasthi.. try to make sure the project gets the highest percentage of profit this time. And please, teach her something", the boss said.

"Okay sir!" Shivam replied. The other two employees who were present in the boss's room left one by one. " So, let's get to work miss newbie!!" He whispered to her with a smirk!

"Yes, Mr. Arrogant", Shreya murmured.
"You said something?", Shivam asked her.
"No, absolutely no! ", Shreya smiled bitterly.

Shivam smirked and let her follow him to his cubicle. After offering her a chair, he started.. "Okay let's begin.."
