The evening sky was pretty.

Underneath it, was this city. Pune. It had taught Sangeeta a lot of things.

To trust, to give everything a second chance, to have fun, to be free.

And somehow, she was feeling better everyday. She had talked to Saurav a little while ago about his health, his plans and some other things.

He had rejoined his job last week and though he was facing some trouble with his hand, which had still the plaster on, his colleagues helped him a lot.

On the other hand, Amit had been sent to Dehli for the six months from her office.

Well that was probably the best news for Sangeeta this morning, that Amit was not going to trouble her for a span of six months.

Today Sangeeta came home more earlier then Shreya. It was almost seven at the clock when Shreya returned.

"How's the day?", She asked Sangeeta as she dropped her bag on the sofa.

"Good. Nothing special. Yours?", Sangeeta asked back.

"So so" she paused and then spoke up with an excitement, "oh yeah! There's news! Here's a project in my hand which can lead me to promotion". She had a proud smile on her face.

"Really! You're doing good then. Good job!"

"Yes, but I have to fight the others to get this in my hand." She stated.

"That's not a difficult thing. You can do it. Trust me! What do you guys say.. yeah.. fighting! "

Shreya let out some giggles and then replied "fighting" ...

At night, Shreya didn't feel sleepy at all. Shreya wanted to compete with everyone to get this promotion. But at the same time, this was not the thing she wanted since her childhood.

She sat down with her laptop to complete the project but the cursor stopped on the audio editing application in her laptop.

Right! It's been months I last opened it.

Some 14-15 songs, half edited, were successfully saved for a long time. The folders were expecting to be opened once in a while.

But she left them. Alone.

Shreya had never imagined herself in an office, with a laptop, with some files, flash drives. She used to imagine herself on a big stage, with a mic in her hand, with people around her, clapping or cheering "once more".

Or, she wanted to see herself sitting in a big recording room surrounded with all kinds of recording equipments.

None of those came true.

Dreams are always distant.

Maybe those dreams will come near her.

Someday!

You know my life is like this
We gotta dance in the rain
Dance in the pain
Even though we crashed now
We gonna dance in the plane ---

The next day in office:

"You all are supposed to submit the project today in my office. Of course a soft copy. The presentation will take place tomorrow. All of you, I don't want any unnecessary issues, so make sure to be fully prepared for this. "

The boss had a manly voice.

But he doesn't like me at all.

Shreya scoffed a little at her thought. And opened her drawer for her pen drive, as she came back to her own cubicle.

Sonam was waiting for her eagerly, as Shreya searched thoroughly the drawers.

"It isn't here!", Shreya could hear her heartbeat. It was beating so hard, that it could come out through her mouth anytime.

"What? ", Sonam tried to confirm what she heard.

"The pen drive! It's gone! "

Shreya's P O V:

It created an immediate chaos in the floor. I cupped my forehead not going what to do now.

I just wanted to interrogate anybody and everybody about it. I had a back up but it was in my laptop at home. I didn't bring it because it was working well.

Sonam tried to talk to me to calm me down but I was clueless.

Just a moment later, something came to my mind and I rushed towards Shivam's cubicle.

"Shivam my pen drive has gone lost.. I mean, I'm sure I kept it in the drawer.. I don't know where is it gone!" I didn't take a breath while talking.

"So? What do you want me to do now? You couldn't even take care of a pen drive.. ", the arrogance in his voice pissed me off.

Now that was not his usual tone.

"No Shivam, someone has taken it.. "

"And who? Who can do such a thing?" Shivam raised his eye brows at me.

"I don't know. Many people came to my cubicle. You came yesterday too.."

He didn't let me complete my sentence. "What? Me? You think I've taken your petty project! "

"I didn't say that Shivam!"

"Guess what, I don't need to take your presentation. I can do thousand times better than that. And mine is absolutely better than what you've got.
Or maybe, what you've lost. You understand! "
His shout had drawn everybody's attention to our heated conversation.

I gritted my teeth together and tried to suppress my anger.
"I understand everything Shivam.." I looked up at him. I wanted to smirk because I got an idea what could've happened to my pen drive.

Only if I knew you were this kind of professional.

I trusted him. Shit.

[ A/N: yahhh! Hello! I hope you're enjoying the story.
Though this chapter was not that good so yeah, it's kinda not-so-interesting one. My personal view.

But it will become eventful again.
So wait for it. And this story is gradually coming towards it's end.
So enjoy!
I love you all! ]
