"Wow." He gasped. "All... that... happened in a day?" I can sense his suspicion.
"Yeah. Pretty peculiar, isn't it?" I shook my head as I reminisce. "Truth or slap, Kio?" I asked.
His mouth was slightly ajar, I think he's still trying to recover from what he heard. Poor him. He actually thought I'm as virgin as him.
"Earth to Kio! Can you roger that?!" I snapped. He got pretty conscious so I thought we'll continue playing.
"No. We're still talking about this Giancarlo." He argued. I just rolled my eyes at him, shaking my head.
"What now?"
"Why the hell did you guys broke up? As I am trying to analyze, you are OBVIOUSLY into him, just listening to you talk about him... and I am certain that when you're into something, you don't easily let go. What happened, Dude? I think you two are good together." I flinched. Being asked that questions brings back everything... and that sucks. I should get used to it, somehow.
I exhaled sharply. Unnerving, a tear fell from my eye, which caused me to lower my head. I don't really want people to see me like this, even Kio. I sneakily wiped my tear and stood up.
"Hey, you know what? It's getting pretty late. Let's continue this tomorrow." I said. He nodded and stood up, as well. I was flabbergasted when he hugged me.
"Okay, Krys. Goodnight." He said. Without saying a word, I headed to his door's direction.
When I walked out of his room, I can feel a pair of eyes staring at me, as I closed the door.
"Yes, Dad?" I politely stated. His smiling looked immediately became an alarmed one as he sees my face, which is, I assume, probably reddish.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked. This is what I love about Dad. He's always considerate. For some reasons, I can't find the words to say so I just shook my head. He nodded slowly and per usual, he stretched his arms outwards. Without hesitation, I enveloped myself in his arms.
"Did you... remember ?" He asked with cautiousness. I nodded, trying to stop my sobs. As I got myself out of his embrace, I tried my best to compose my self.
"Why's Mom here?" I am dying to know why. Dad avoided my gaze and scratched his head.
"I... uh... we are planning to get divorced, like legally."
"Why does she have to be here, though? I'm pretty sure that you can work things with her, staying in Korea."
"Well, even if we're officially splitting, we're still... you know... friends." He tried to think of an excuse, which was lame, by the way.
"And so?" I continued to interrogate. I'll try to see how long this will go.
"I don't know, to be honest with you." He looked down, yet smiling. It got me thinking like, 'maybe there's something I don't know?'
"Hmm. Okaaaaay. I'm-ma go to bed now, Dad. I can feel the jet lag." I tapped his shoulder as I pass by him.
"Goodnight, sweetie." He said.
The moment I laid on the bed, I can feel my lids closing.

Unfortunately, I was awoken by continuous knocks. If this is a normal school day, I can surely picture my Mom knocking at the door... but I'm on break! Ugh, who could that be? Ain't it too early yet? I looked at the clock on top of my bedside table. It says 8:47 A.M. God. I usually get up at 10.
Lamely, I got up and opened the door. I was rubbing my eyes as I said, "Why so early, Mom?"
I heard a chuckle. When I saw who it was, I stomped my feet. "I ain't your momma, sis. Get yourself prepped. We're gonna go buy groceries. I'll drive."
"No, I will." I protested. God knows how terrible of a driver Kio is. I vowed to myself that I will never ride a car with anyone else driving it, beside me or any adult. And Kio is just... a little bit too much for a driver.
He pouted. "Fine! Go, be quick." Irritated, he left and I got ready. Since it's kinda cold outside, I picked a striped, long-sleeved top, denim jeans and a pair of boots. As I looked at my reflection, I thought, 'I look pretty snatched.' I smiled.
As I walk down the stairs, I saw Mom, Dad and Georgia having some coffee.
"Hi." I greeted. Georgia just smiled.
"Take care." Mom and Dad said in unison. I waved goodbye as I walked towards the car. Kio is already settled on the passenger's seat so I went directly to the driver's seat. As I sat, I looked at him, "You ready?" I asked.
"Let's get out of here already!" And so I drove.
