"Haven't heard from you ever since..." Rachel uttered as she struggled to get up and walk out behind the bush. What's a good way to welcome back your old friend? Apparently, for Rachel, it's to eavesdrop and step over the line. Great.

"No. Seriously, Rach. Why are you out there invading people's privacy?" Kio got me covered, which is one of the best things about him. He knows when to butt in and when to stop.

"In my defense, Mr. Kio, it's not my intention, at all! I was jogging around then I saw you," She turned to me. "And thought that it might be good idea to approach you." She lowers her head in shame. "Turns out it wasn't tge best time to... you know, catch up." She's still the same, the one-who-must-not-be-blamed.

I felt the need to speak. I'm supposed to be the one taking actions, not the one to always hide behind my brother.

"I appreciate that you wanted to say 'Hi', Rach... but haven't we concluded our friendship years ago?" I tried to not sound mean but that's just the truth... and I stand by my words.

"Come on, Sien--"

"I go by Krystal." I interrupted.

"O...kay. It was just a petty fight, Krys! And are you still even with Caden? Not anymore, right?" I flinched, hearing every pointless arguement she's trying to throw in.

"Definitely none of your business." I pulled her into a quick hug to shut her up. "It was really nice of you initiate this 'fun' chitchat. If you won't mind, we'll get going already." I didn't wait for her to respond. I turned my back on her and when I looked at Kio, I saw him smiling devilishly. I dragged him out before he start a scene.

"So, where to?" He broke the ice. Honestly, I don't have anything in my mind.

"Lake?" I suggested. He smiled softly.

"You sure?" I thought of it and I nodded.

I mean, why not? I will definitely remember bitterswit memories that could hurt a little... but I don't want to stay inside my shell all the time and miss the fun that could've happen with the people I cherish, specially Kio.

"Leggo!" He happily exclaimed.

I feel happy to see him smile. I hope I can make that last.
