Time seem to fly fast as I enjoyed my moments with the man that makes me happy. We were constantly walking through the park and when we found a mesmerizing spot, we decided to lay down.
"Sien. Do you imagine having kids?" He randomly spoke. I got so shocked that I immediately got up from the geound and stared at him.
He laughed, "Not now, you dummy... but do you imagine yourself having kids?" He seriously asked. I feel pressured all of a sudden.
I laid my head back to his shoulder. I thought of it. I think... I don't.
"I don't know. Why'd you ask?"
"Oh, nothing. Just some... random thoughts."
"We're too young to even think of those things."
"Yeah. I think so too."
"Let's talk about how we met instead." I proposed. I really love that story.
"Ha. I remember you were 16 by that time and it was my 18th birthday. My mom cooked some shrimp pasta."
"And I am allergic to shrimp... but Rose didn't know." I continued.
"And for some reason, you chose to sit out of the entire dinner. Why's that, by the way?" He asked as he looked at me.
I remember that it was that time when Dad and Georgia got into a fight and Mom's name was dragged into it. I hate it everytime that happens.
I don't feel the need to overshare so I said, "Can't remember, really. That was what, 2 or 3 years ago?"
"Right." Maybe he got it. Maybe not.
I don't really know what to say next so I let the silence take over.
Time must've really flew fast. The skies started to turn pinkish and it's getting pretty cold. I shivered a little as I got up. He must have felt it as he placed his green aeropostale jacket on my shoulders.
"Thanks, Cade." I smilingly said.
"Anything for you."
I just smiled. Yeah, I just smiled.
We decided to walk some more. While we step, he decided to take tons of picture of me holding his hands. He then let go of me and took time doing stuff on his phone.
"Whatcha doin'?" I looked behind him as he stands taller than me. He started to fool with me and covered his phone. Without hesitations, I jumped at his back and clinged unto him. I look like I'm piggy-back riding. I looook stupid! And so I decided to go down.
"You. are. so. silly." He said.
"I know." I stucked my tongue out anf wrinkled my nose. He pinches it and kisses my cheek.
I got flustered that I stepped back. He gasped at me for what I did. I felt guilty.
"I'm sorry! I just can't get used to that kind of physical contact. I promise, eventually, I will." I straightforwardly said.
He sighed and smiled. He messed my hair and said, "Nah, forget it."
Suddenly, my phone went berserk. As it buzzed, texts are flooding in. As I opened my messages, I felt panic rush through me. It was from Dad.
DAD
You better go home now.
"Shit. I have to go home, Cade. Like, right now."
"Ok. Let's go." He held my hand and together, we ran to where his car was parked.
The whole drive was fast and silent. I feel really anxious. I looked out the window and rolles it down. I felt his hands over mine and somehow, I felt safe.
When we arrived in front of my home, he said, "You know what, I can go inside with you and explain everything to your Dad." He was about to unbuckle his seatbelt when I stopped him.
"No! Don't!" I freaked out. He looked confused.
"I mean, I can handle it. Drive safe. Call me when you got home." I said as I remove my seatbelt.
He pulled me for a hug and kissed me on the forehead.
"I'm gonna miss you, Sien. Have a safe flight tomorrow. I love you."
"Yeah, thanks. Be safe too." I immediately took my things and got out of the car.
When I entered the dining room, I immediately ran to Dad's behind. I hugged him tight.
"Sorry, I spent the day with a friend." He sighed.
"You know you're going home tomorrow, right? You should've spent your day with us." He sounded so sad. I felt sad too.
"Sorry. Won't do it again next break." I let go of him.
"Sit down." So I did.
We had mashed potatoes, breaded porkchop, and some non-dairy yogurt, which are all my favorite. We had our usual dinner. Fun, light, and just genuine. I'll definitely miss this.
When I finished, I placed my plate on the dishwasher.
"I'm just gonna go rest a little bit." Dad nodded and Kio also stood up.
"I'm gonna go with her." He said.
When we entered the room, he close it shut.
"Did you do it?"
"I can't do it, Ki. I love him."
