I calmed down. After the deterioration I had, I made up my mind... I have to fill in for everything my mother had missed. The giancarlo phase, the separation, and the things I chose to keep for myself.

"Eomma..." (Mom...) I calles put as I knock on her door. I hear rambling inside so I got worried.

"Mom? Are you okay? What's going on?" I worriedly asked.

"I'm fine! Let's just talk later... I'm still doing something..." She giggly replied. My brows furrowed. I just let her be.

SOMETHING STRUCK ME. I should apologize for snapping at Kio. Immediately, I walked towards his room. Just before I walk in, I hear him talking loud to someone, probably on his phone.

"I know! I just can't suddenly undo everything I said, Liv. Look, we'll figure this out."

He sounded concerned but... happy. Is he dating this Liv? OH MY GOD, SO HE'S STRAIGHT NOW?

I pressed my ears against the door and stupidly, it made a loud thud. Kio must've been startled.

"Someone's outside my door. Call you later. Love you." And he hung up, I guess? So I opened the door and entered.

"Hi." I awkwardly greeted. He just smiled a little.

"Hey, Kio. I'm certain you're just concerned about me and Caden... and I admit I'm just thinking about myself. I'm not proud of it... and I'm sorry." I said in a low voice. I hope he finds it sincere.

"No worries." He shortly replied. Now, everybody's strange. Seems like I'm not the only one who's keeping secrets.

"Well, then. I'm heading out... I'll try to talk things with Cade, but I'm still putting an end to my vacation, just so you know." I was about to go out but I felt a pair of moisturized hands holding my left arm. I looked around.

"Can I join?" He asked, looking so desperate.

"That's what I thought." I put my arms around him and we went out together.

Just before we leave the house, I screamed, "WE'RE GOING SOMEWHERE." No replies, but I took it as a yes.

"So. Have you heard from Damon?" Kio asked.

"Not yet."

"He's definitely missed out."

"He doesn't have to be involved all the time, he's just one of my childhood friends."

"Oh yeah, say that to yourself 'cause I saw the way your eyes twinkled when you see him."

I looked at him, "Tell you what, after Giancarlo, I never looked at men in that way."

"Why's that? Are you still into Giancarlo?"

"I will always love Giancarlo. He's already got a place in my heart that no one can replace."

"Is that a yes?" He smirked.

"No, sorry to disappoint you." I rolled my eyes at him. "After he did what he thought was right, I don't have the ability nor the guts to forget him."

"And that thing is...?"

"A second chance at life, I guess."

"Did he rescued you from an abduction or something? You talk of him as if your ex's some hero."

I looked down. I started demolishing walls, I shouldn't rebuild them.

"He is, actually." I smiled at the sky.

"Wait, did you two really broke up?" Now, he's getting a hold of things.

"He wanted to, but before we even part ways, he'd chosen to save my ass again."

"What do you mean, Krystal?"

"We got into an accident. I made it out alive... but he didn't."
