"This is it!" Max shouts as he runs, Noire right beside him.
Quickly looking to Max, Noire is amazed at the amount of strength he still holds onto, as she herself is drained of most of her own strength. Max looks over to Noire, looking for some kind of conformation to his statement. Drawing away from her awe, she steadies herself, and nods to Max.
This is all the acknowledgement he needs, and the two rush forward. Max fighting to right everything he has done wrong, and Noire fighting to end this conflict before it can even touch Gamindustri. Both have their blades at the ready, feeling as though nothing can stop them.
They keep an even pace with each other, despite Max being in Ultimate Binding, the form itself acting as a torch to brighten the way. He stood out as a beacon in the dull, dark dimension. Everything about him holds a determination. Every move was smooth, every thought was sincere, every word spoke of hope now.
It didn't take them too long to reach the King of the Void, who was striking up a conversation with Tari still. The King was reluctant to challenge Tari, despite holding every advantage, and instead chose to see why she has come back as an enemy. He wasn't surprised at all that she told him she didn't fully understand it either, but felt that she should, and acted on it.
The King could only smile at this point. It wasn't a smile of happiness or any ace up his sleeve anymore. It was more out of humility. He knew that there was no winning this battle anymore. With the arrival of every one of Max's friends, he knew that meant one of his own has fallen. Even now, Tari has been pulled to Max's side and gave him the edge needed to pull an advantage he desperately needed. The King wasn't bothered by her betrayal either. If he could befriend Luther, than why not Tari to some degree.
Running through his mind was the very prophecy he warned Tari about, and the one who would bring on his downfall. Looking into the distance, he could see the very form that would bring on his own destruction, shining like the beacon it is. All he could do at this point was sigh. If he tried to run now, where would he go? If he tried to fight, he would surely parish. The King could only heavily weigh his options.
All his anger passed when he was able to talk with Tari, and hear the reason she didn't fight. The King turned then, not to Max nor Tari, but to a third position, where there was someone who was watching from a short distance.
"I was wondering if any more of you would show. If there's one Bound Warrior there is surely more nearby." The King looked upon who it was, and saw the amulet around his throat. "Heh, and if my situation wasn't bad enough, you show up."
Amory steps forward, a scowl across his face. There was an intense moment where the two stared at each other, as neither was ready to make a move. Brandishing his longsword, Amory took another step forward.
"It has been a long time since I've been able to face you. In fact, the last time we met, you locked me in my sword." Amory spat, anger lathered in his voice.
"I have." The King chuckled. "How did you escape it?"
"I had some help from a kid." Amory Vaguely answers.
"Rmm." The King growled. "No matter, I am not going to face you."
The King turned away from Amory, which angered the Warrior; however Amory grew curious about what the King was doing. The King turned to Max, who has gotten considerably closer since he last saw him.
Max stopped in his tracks after seeing Amory though, but decided that the time to ask questions is later. Throwing his arm forward, Blazefury cuts through the air with a hiss, aimed right at the King's neck; however his attack was blocked as the King used his dagger to block the lethal blow.
