Normal? •Colby Brock• (Completed)

The Final Moon

Corey and Elton met up at Sam's house after classes ended. 

"Okay boys we ready to do this?" Elton asked as they all gathered on the front porch of Sam's. Everyone else nodded in agreement, "Nah I'm gonna need something a little bit better than that" Elton said, trying to get them a little bit more excited. 

"Yeah!" Corey exclaimed. "We got this" He smiled at Sam.

Sam smirked before saying, "Let's go save our fish boy".

The plan was simple. Sam was going to go to Colby's house before he left to head to Jessie's. He was going to find Colby and try to tell him his true feelings. While Corey and Elton were going to go to the beach and text Jessie through Colby's Instagram (hacked by Corey) and tell her to meet him right in the cave. Then BAM! They'd push her in when the moon was overhead, taking her powers away and leaving her powerless. Easy right?

Sam's mind was racing as he parked his car a couple of houses away from Colby's, worried that he'd be spotted by Colby before he was ready to be seen. The blonde took a moment to gather his thoughts. He tilted his head down and rested his it on his steering wheel. 

What if I can't do this? What if he slams the door in my face?
What if he chooses Jessie instead?

But at that moment, memories began to flash through Sam's mind. It was all Colby, his smile, his eyes that looked like the ocean he swam in, the way his tail shined and shimmered. The way his smile spread all the way to his eyes whenever he talked about swimming with his as a merman...

I can't let her rip that joy away from him

That's what Sam thought to himself before opening up his car door and heading towards Colby's house. Once he was on the front porch, Sam lightly knocked on the door. 

Shit that was too light, he probably didn't even hear me!

Sam knocked again but stopped halfway through then knocked again.

SHIT! TOO MANY KNOCKS 

Sam stopped, he grabbed his hand with the other, making sure he didn't keep knocking. He sat in silence for a couple of moments, then minutes. The blonde quickly checked his phone before he instantly pocketed it again. 

"Shit, shit, shit" He cursed as he began passing around the porch. An idea popped into Sam's head before he darted around to the garage and peered through one of the windows, looking inside for one specific thing. 

"His skateboard is gone!" Was the first thing Sam shouted into his phone as soon as Elton answered the call. 

"YEah Sam, that's cause Colby's already here... Get your ass over here now" Elton demanded as Sam held the phone closer to his ear with one hand and he used his other hand to anxiously fiddle with his hair. 

Sam didn't waste any more time, he ran to his car and told Elton, "Be there as soon as I can".

Colby's foot nervously tapped against the school's tile floor while he debated on which textbooks he needed to bring home to study. He settled on science and math just as he noticed Jessie who approached his locker. 

"Hey baby" Colby smirked as he went up to hug her. 

"So Colbs, ready for the night of your life. You'll feel so free once you learn to control the moon" Her voice dropped to a whisper during that last part, making it so only Colby heard her.
