~=•Colby' POV•~=

The next morning I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring in my ears. I reached over to shut it off when I realized my legs where tangled in the blankets by my feet, making it extra hard to stop the annoying alarm.

My room was cooler than normal, causing me to crave the warm embrace of my covers. A moan escaped my lips as I realized the cause of my problems.

I got home late last night and I was hot and sweaty, so I opened my window and had apparently left it open during the night, which lowered the temperature of my room significantly.

I took a minute to untangle myself from my covers before swinging my legs over my bed and onto the floor. The cool hardwood floor caused me to slightly cringe before I leaned back to stretch.

While stretching, I noticed how much my muscles ached. I haven't swum for that long in a while. Especially since I had to keep up with Jessie, who is really fast...

But it was a really good time.

When I arrived at school that day Jessie was waiting for me at my locker, her head was tilted downwards, looking intently at her phone. She only noticed me when I got within a few feet. "Morning" I greeted her, she smiles while I leaned down to unlock my locker. Jessie leans down and kisses me on the cheek "Good morning" She replies as my cheeks turn a rosy pink colour.

I reached into my locker to grab a notebook when I let out a yawn. Jessie smirked, "Are you tired from last night?" She asks me curiously.

"You're not?" I answer her question with a question.

"Not really, last night wasn't too bad, but I usually swim out further" She informs me, causing my eyes to go wide.

"FUrther! If I would've swum another inch my tail would have fallen off!" I joke as she giggles. "Shhh, keep it down, others are gonna hear you" She whispered playfully as she steps closer to me. Now it was me who was giggling.

The bell rang through the hallway, cutting out time short "I'll talk to you later, gotta get to class" I told Jessie as I made the first move and kissed her before heading on my way.

Sam was the second last one to make it to their table in the cafeteria. Or so he thought. "Have you guys heard from Colby? I'd texted him asking how his date went but I didn't hear anything from him." Sam asks Elton and Corey as they both shrug.

"I haven't seen him all day" Corey replies as he looks over to Elton. "Same here".

"Weird..." The blonde's voice trails off before someone approaches their table. Sam's stomach sank as he realized who it was. Brad...

"Hey crotch rockets, where's your friend?" He immediately questions, referencing Colby. They all shrug as a silent response. "Uh, whatever... Well, see you later gay lord, say hi to your parents for me" Brad nods at Sam.

There was a moment where they all just watched as Brad walked away, sitting in uncomfortable silence while Sam's anxiety skyrocketed.

"What was that about?" Elton kept his voice low.

Sam didn't lift his eyes from his lunch that sat uneaten in front of him. Thoughts spun around in his mind like a windstorm as he stuttered out a small "I-I don't know..." Before his friends could interrogate him further, he stood up from his seat and rushed out of the cafeteria.
