Epilogue

When I first saw her, I really did not care. She seemed to be really childish. She even acted like an admirer.

"Tecson, a company has offered a photographer, alam mo ba 'yon? Tamang tama! Kunin mo na!" Lei said. I glanced at her and tried to get her point.

"Imposible 'yon, Lei." I continued fixing my things. Our last subject was done so I need to go home.

"You know what? Kilala mo ba 'yong Rylee Serino? She is the daughter of the owner! Yon ang sabi nila.." Lei continued. I still ignored her because she kept on saying nonsense ideas.

"Ikaw nalang." I told her before finally left the room.

I was about to pass by when I saw a familiar girl holding some papers. It seems so heavy. How could a teacher asked a favor to that stick girl? When she came in, umalis na kaagad ako. We even ride the same tricycle.

"Maayos ka ba diyan? Just tell me if you need money, don't hesitate." Kuya Kairo called.

"You don't have to. Maayos pa naman ako rito." I responded to him and heard him laughed. What's his problem?

"Kung makapagsalita ka parang nagtatrabaho ka na ah? Sabihan mo lang ako kung kailangan mo. Magkadugo tayo kung nakakalimutan mo." He laughed with what he said. I think my brother is having some free time on work.

"Tss. Sige na matutulog na ako, kuya."I ended up the call and took a bath. After taking a bath, I dried my hair with my towel. Nawala ang antensyon ko roon ng tumunog ang telepono.

Napakunot ang noo ko. Umupo ako sa sofa at tinitigan ang mensahe. I examined who's the sender. Kanina, hawak niya ang mga papel na mukhang sa amin. Probably she got my number there, huh.

I smiled with my response. Binato ko ang phone sa kama at pinagpatuloy ang pagpapatuyo ng buhok. And there when she started. She usually sends me corny texts but as time goes by, I saw myself smiling and longing for her texts.

I'm seeing her from a far. I saw her smiling and talking to someone. Lagi ko siyang nakikita na hinahanap ako pero ngayon ako naman ang hinahanap siya. There's really something.

Habang tumatagal ay patuloy ang paguusap namin. I really hope she means what she say all the time. Hindi ko man kahit kailan nakita ang ibang babae na katulad niya. She's very straightforward. Dumating na rin ang mga araw kung saan gumaan ng mga loob namin. We even made love, which is not too good idea but already done.

There were times that we don't talk. Nagkaroon kami ng isang hindi pagkakaintindigan. One night, we decided to talk.

"Hoy, Tecson!" Napalingon ako sa lalaking nagsalita. Hindi siya pamilyar sa akin but he had the guts to call me.

"Sino ka?" I asked. He chuckled and went near me. Ininkutan niya ako at tinapik ang mga balikat.

"Kung hindi mo pa ako kilala.. matakot ka na. Tara, inom tayo saglit." Napakunot ang noo ko sakaniya. I even dont know him.
