August P.O.V.
I opened the car door for Nicki she got in I watched as she crossed one leg over the other.
I licked my lips trying to keep myself under control. I went to my side then got in I turned on the raido.
Soft music was playing even though I'm a street nigga I do have classy ways.
Every once in a while I would see Nicki burning a hole in the side of my face.
"Its not nice to stare you know"?
I said keeping my eyes on the road.
"Sorry, your so perfect."
Nicki said showing off her beautiful smile.
"Your so beautiful to me can't you see."
I began to sing.
"Yes sing it baby. Even when you not trying you sound amazing."
"Just something light."
"Mmmh."
She rolled her eyes and dozed off into a deep sleep.
I laughed at her because she was talking in her sleep.
1 hour later we arrived at the restaurant it wasn't packed that's because I rented out the whole place to myself.
It was about 2 stacks to shut it down for the evening. Also because my uncle John owns the place.
"Come on ma we here."
I said shaking Nicki.
"I'm up."
"Lies."
She stretched and took off her seat belt, I went to the other side opening the door for her.
"Thank you ."
"No problem."
We locked arms it felt good to know I have someone on my side.
We walked into the place,there is a table in the middle of the room, rose petals were everywhere on the ground. A bottle of the most finest wine was on the table also.
"Welcome you two can sit right here and your meal will be with you."
The heavy set women said walking into the kitchen. It smelled really good my mouth watered.
"This is wonderful August how did you do all of this." ?
"I know people who know people. I just wanted to show you how much you mean to me."
August took Nicki's hand in his and kissed her hand.
"Awwww your so sweet."
August winked at her then smiled Nicki looked like she had something major on her mind.
"What's wrong talk."
August said pouring himself more wine.
"Its nothing."
She smiled.
"Stop right there I know when something is not right. So talk."
"August I love you I don't know what I would do without you. Also I want to know about your past."
"Ma I love you more you don't have to worry about anything I'm here to stay.. And what would you like to know." ?
"Everything"

I got board of talking.
"Lol that's it." ?

Just then our food came out everything was cooked just like I wanted it to be.
"Thank you mama."
I said to the women as she walked away. A big pot of turkey necks with red potatoes and corn. Then a big bowl of wild rice. I was in heaven I made both our plates we had small tall among ourselves. Nicki is very talented she can sing and rap also.
It was getting late I was sleepy from eating all that food. I wanted to give her the promise ring.
"I have to go to the little girls room."
She said getting up from the table.
"Okay."
I walked back into the kitchen to give the cook "Mama" a big tip.
"Here you go ma."
I said handing her $500
"I know its not a lot but its something."
"Aw thank you red, but I can't take it."
"Yes you candoing.I gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you August. Love you red keep that beautiful woman you have."
"Welcome ma see you later."
I walked away Nicki came out the bathroom all ready to leave. I got down on one knee and took both her hands in mine. I closed my eyes before I spoke again.
"August what you doing."?
She asked in disbelief.
"Listen Nicki I love you I plan on spending the rest of my life with you. When I saw you that one night at the party I knew you were the one for me. I know I messed up in the past I was wrong but please for give me. I promise you I won't do nothing else to hurt you. I love you so much one day I want you to have all my kids and get married. Baby you are my life,world my everything."
I said as a tear went down my face.
I pulled the ring out my back pocket. I took the diamond ring out and put it on her ring finger.
"Do you accept my promise ring."?
"Yes baby"
She said jumping up n down. She got excited I laughed I love her so much.
The cooks were clapping and cheering for us.
I got up then huged her tight she leaned in for a kiss. I kissed her back it was deep I pulled away.
"Come on that ass is still mine."
"I know daddy."
With that we walked to my car and drove home in silent.
End of chapter 40 next chapter will be more good. Just wait on it. I didn't want to add everything because then I wouldn't have ideas for the other chapters. So yeah I hope y'all enjoyed please
