In the morning after breakfast, Jay and I went to check in on the new girl at the infirmary, before getting started on our day. When we got there she was already up and a nymph was tending to her leg. We walked up to and sat down on the stools at her bedside, as I watched the nymph do up her bandage.
" Hey. Welcome of Camp Half Blood," I said to her. I say that sentence way too much I thought.
"Who are you?" Jay asked.
"I'm Aria Locken and I'm from South Carolina. You?" She replied.
" I'm Priya Campbell and I'm a daughter of Poseidon and this is Jay Walsh and he's a Son of Aphrodite," I said, pointing to Jay, and he continued before she could react to our statements about the gods.
" How old are you?" Jay asked.
" I just turned 15, a few weeks ago actually," Aria said.
Wow. Usually demigods are claimed by the age of 12 since Percy made that whole deal with the gods. But there are a few special cases, like her. Maybe it was worth a try.
" Who are your parents?" I asked.
" My dad is a professor and I never knew my mom."
" Oh then your godly parent is your mom and that narrows it down to, Oh I don't know, about 10 goddesses," I sighed, shaking my head."Are you alright?" I asked.
" I'm fine. But these people say that I have a broken leg. Whoever these people are," she replied.
"Those are nymphs. You'll see them around camp helping us and stuff. No need to be afraid to them," Jay replied.I checked the time and it was 9:30 am. That meant that I had to leave to train some new demigods on sword techniques, now that Percy had left for the weekend.
"I gotta go. I'll be in the arena if you need anything. Jay please answer her questions. With proper answers and not silly ones."
He laughed at my little goodbye speech and I left. After lunch I met up with Chiron to decide our schedules and areas for our camp game Capture The Flag. It was a fun game that allowed us demigods to practice our skills while feeling like we're in an actual battle. Tomorrow was Friday and every Friday afternoon, we would divide ourselves into two teams to play Capture the Flag. The first team to steal the opposite team's flag, won the game. As much as the blue team loved winning the game, I'm sure all demigods loved playing just solely for the feel of being in an actual battle.
At dinner I sat by my usual table talking to Percy when Jay walked out with Aria who was using crutches to help her walk. He escorted her over to the Hermes table, as per tradition for demigods with unknown parents to stay for the time being.
After dinner, Percy and I decided to play volleyball together against Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena and Nico Di Angelo, son of Hades, until we heard Chiron blow his conch shell, signalling the call of curfew.
