What if there's a way out?

The turtles spent their time locked out in one of Shredder's cages, where it was a tough challenge to escape from. They were locked out from the reality, since all of these things seemed pretty unreal to (Y/N). Although she did her best to help out, she couldn't bare this anymore, as she just wanted to burst free and save the day. However, this isn't a movie. This was a goddamn reality, and she couldn't change that.

Her hands were shaking as she held the cage bars tightly, wanting to somehow break them or bend them, but this Stockman cage isn't a normal one. She sighed in irritation as she faced down. Donatello looked at her with worry in his eyes, he placed a hand on her shoulder once more. Michaelangelo was searching for any possible way to break free, but he gave up eventually.

"Ugh it's hopeless!" - (Y/N) broke the silence - "We're never gonna get out of here in time!"

"Don't lose your hope yet, maybe something is gonna-"

"Like what? We've been here for hours, Don. Nothing happened! We're all just-..just doomed!" - The girl's voice cracked slightly as she bumped her head against the cage bars. She felt like a caged bird, desperately longing for freedom. The purple banded mutant remained silent, Michaelangelo stared in concern. They all wanted the same thing, but it's a rare occasion that a miracle happens during their missions. Of course they had high doubts about ever escaping, but Leo would never give up hope. That's probably the only reason they kept going.

Soon the sound of the heavy, metal doors swinging open echoed through the empty, dark room as footsteps could be heard in the nearer distance. The sound was becoming louder and louder as whoever was walking there was getting closer to them. The turtles and the girl looked up as they heard the footsteps approaching, assuming that it was Shredder who came for his next victim. Michaelangelo shook in fear as Donnie shushed him. (Y/N) clenched her fists as she was ready to try and escape.

All of their expectations were crushed once they saw Karai, aka daddy's girl. Of course, (Y/N) never saw her before, but she knew she was part of the foot, so she kept a dark expression on her face.

"Donatello and Michaelangelo" - She said - "I didn't expect to see you both here, trapped."

"What did you do with Leo, you big meanie?!" - Mikey yelled out in Leo's defense.

"Oh don't worry, he'll be fine." - She said keeping a smirk - "Seriously though, he'll be fine, Shredder hasn't done anything extreme to him."

"Karai, why don't you help us? We can get free and end this all together! You can come with us!" - The geek brother reassured her.

"And have me face the consequences? Sorry, not gonna happen." - She simply said as she turned away from the cage, her back was facing the cage.

"Um, hello? Didn't you hear him? You wouldn't have to face the consequences if you just give us a hand!" - (Y/N) stated as the other girl stiffened. Karai's fists clench as she heard the calling of Shredder from the other room. But before she went away she threw a key to them which Mikey caught with a smile.

"I have to go. I'll see what I can do with Leo. Shredder's probably gonna torture him or something." - She said and Donnie gave her a slight smile.

"Thanks Karai." - Karai smiled at those words as she quickly went away.

"Ok cool, we got the key, let's get outta here!" - The trapped girl said in excitement, but Donnie interrupted her.

"If Leo was here with us, he would always have a plan in mind. So we have to think of something before just bursting out." - The purple masked turtle added - "This is our only chance, and it might result in us being trapped again."

"So then what do we do, Don?" - Mikey stated curiously.

Donnie put his finger on his chin, as if he was thinking. He knew that if they escaped and went out there'll be some kind of guards standing by the entrance to keep the prisoners safe from escaping. He pretty much knew how Shredder's lair looks, since he's been there plenty of times. But now that they got Karai on their side, it leaves them a bit of ease.

"Why don't we just open up the cage and go hide somewhere?"

"It's not that easy, (Y/N)." - Donnie said - "By the time we get out somebody might come and notice we're gone, and hiding is only gonna put us in a dead end since this room isn't as big."

"Well then we gotta act quick! The guards are gonna hear the sound of the cage opening and they might hurry over here to see what happened, and we'll stand at the entrance, right where they won't notice us. Then we have the choice of making them pass out or just having the guards at our tail." - (Y/N) left Donatello speechless.

"...I guess, that can work out."

"Yeah but it's our only chance guys!" - Mikey joined - "So we have to be careful."

They all nodded and proceeded to carry on with their plan.

"But what about when we go out? Who's gonna find Leo and who Raph?"

"I can go find Ra-"

"No, (Y/N)." - Donnie strictly said.

"Huh? Why not?!"

"The last time you tried to help him out he almost killed you." - The geek added.

"Yeah, thank God you had us to save you!" - Mikey smiled in awesomeness.

The girl groaned in annoyance. The purple brother gave her a gentle smile, revealing the gap in his teeth - "Don't worry, (Y/N). He's our brother! We want him to be safe just as much as you do."

The girl smiled - "Yeah yeah, let's get this over with."

"I think it'll be better if we stick together. Splitting up might not be the best idea." - They all nodded to Donatello's statement. Soon they were all ready to carry on with their plan.

They did as said;
With the key that Karai gave them, they opened up the cage making a louder noise. Donnie stiffened a bit after that. The guards heard the noise and they quickly came rushing by to check on the prisoners. As they did so the turtles and (Y/N) were already gone...or were they? The guards fell unconscious after getting a hard hit on the head by them, as they quickly ran out the room they were in, tensed up and alerted.

"Alright, we'll go search for Leo first. He-" - Donnie was interrupted by a familiar scream. It was Leo's. Everyone's eyes widened as they followed the direction of it.

Leo was tied up in a room, unable to move or escape. He let out a scream after Stinkman was about to place that brainwashing worm they used on Raph into his head. But it also seemed like them two were the only ones in the room; well, that is before Mikey showed up.

"You're NOT touching my brother!!!" - Donnie failed in attempting to reason with his orange masked brother who jumped in with a scream, kicking Stockboy away. (Y/N) and Donatello joined him after finding out there was no point to hide. Baxter was on the ground, as the turtles got a chance to free their older brother.

"Thanks guys." - Leo smiled and nodded.

"Are you hurt?" - Donnie asked him worriedly, glancing over at him.

Leo shook his head - "No I'm fine. But we have to go find Raph this instant!"

"Not while I'M here!" - Stickman was able to get back up on his feet before being kicked down again by Donnie's staff. He fell down with a groan as the turtles ran out - "You can run, but you can't...hide." - He said as his arm fell down onto the ground in defeat.
